STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Penn State received more than $208 million in donations for the fiscal year that just ended, the second-highest total in university history despite the upheaval after the arrest of Jerry Sandusky on child sex abuse charges.

The school said Monday there was a slight uptick in the number of alumni who donated money or gifts in the fiscal year that ended June 30 to more than 75,500, reversing two years of declines.

University vice president Rod Kirsch says the school is grateful for the contributions amid "incredibly difficult circumstances."

Sandusky, a retired assistant football coach, was arrested in November. It led to the ouster of coach Joe Paterno, a move criticized by some alumni and former players.

Sandusky is awaiting sentencing after being convicted of 45 criminal counts last month.

Every single one of those donors has, in effect, raped a child.

I'm sure BernSTINE will say those were donations to the football program or something and call everyone a child rapist.

No one is allowed to donate anymore. Not to the School of Business, not to the Physics Dept. and certainly not to the Library! Rapists, the lot of them!

I hope someone asks for $208 mill in damages.

Still with all the crap around Penn St...not just the football team...nothing has happened to them!

But should we punish the Physics and Journalism departments and those students? What about donations for campus improvements like landscaping and new intramural fields? I'm sure BernSTINE will vomit out a thought concerning those teachers/students/frisbree golf hippies were all child rapists...that isn't the case.

As for the administration and those involved in the cover up etc.....I hope they don't get off scott free. They are just as guilty as Sundusky.

Just more places for children to be raped.

Can you prove that?

I think I will send in a donation to the athletic program in Dan Bernstein's name.

Look at all the programming material he received from them. He should thank them.
