It's one more day of Laurence Holmes sitting in for the vacationing Terry Boers this afternoon, as he & Dan Bernstein are at Lanigan's Irish Pub, 3119 W. 111th Street in Chicago, for the "Bud Light 'Who Needs Two?' Tavern Tour" live broadcast starting at 1:15p-ish after transition with Dan McNeil & Jason Goff. I wonder what's on the docket today...

*The Freeh Report-More Penn State Scandal Talk
*The Return of MLB-Diamondbacks/Cubs @ Wrigley While The Show Is On
*White Sox/Royals-Dealing w/Bruce Chen Tonight-The SCORE's Steve Stone @ 2p Today
*A John Danks Setback?
*No Sign & Trade Deal for Kyle Korver?
*Dwight Howard Still Wants Out of Orlando
*670thescore.com: #9 Most Important Bear This Season
*"Friday Fung: Am I A Bad Guy?"-4p Today

The guys will be giving away Cubs' tickets on site for a "future game", thanks to Bud Light, between 1:15-ish & 6p.

I didn't know Boers was out today. What's going on with the SCORE's signature afternoon show? I read something on the Larz board that Terry "The Rubber-Assed Donkey" Boers might be out of a job in favor of the Toni Preckwinkle-looking bitch of Mitch Rosen, Laurence Holmes. And it has been confirmed by CBS TV that Tommy Williams will be anchoring their nightly newscasts, replacing Walter Jacobson and Bill Kurtis. Also, the local scuttlebutt from WLS radio is that Dave Kaplan, Tom Waddle, and Carmen DeFalco will be teaming up for a three man show known as "The Vanilla Hour."

The whole week has been a mystery as to why Boers is not on the show.

Disclosure: This post is a troll.

It's the truth, CH. Rodie is being replaced on NBC5's morning newscast starting July 23rd by Kye Martin on traffic.

A couple of late alterations to the game plan...

"The Second Half" moves up to 3:20p, while Sports Crisis Expert John Lasayne(sp?) joins the guys at 3:30p to talk about...wait for it...the Penn State Football Scandal.

C'MON MAN! Laurence, this isn't your nighttime show! Save your soundbites & "The A Team" theme for YOUR OWN SHOW at night! You are a guest co-host on this stupid show!

Why is LoHo on the air instead of Boers?

Dan --

The problem with leaving the Paterno statue up "ironically" is that Penn State has proven itself to be an Irony-Free Zone. They don't have it in them to recognize that sort of irony. If it's there, they'll continue to recognize it at face value.

The Stone MMA thing was good I must admit.

 @ Dan answering Larry's terribly stupid question before ZZ could. "Zach, do you think Michael Bush will be used in short yardage and goalline situations?"

"Hey Zach, do you think Brandon Marshall will be used as a wide receiver this year?"

I know the competition is extremely tough, but that fucking "likey" commercial has to at least be in the team photo of most annoying commercials in Score history.

I don't get it. I listen to other sports radio stations from around the country. None of them have commercials that are as annoying as the Score does, or as often as they do. And it's not even a little close.

Listening in on Wake and Bake this morning. Just before 10:30 CST, Jerome followed some strange dude referencing Bernstein's thoughts on PSU and makes a strange comparison to what religious people should be able to do. He gets bounced. On jumps my guy Jerome still giving the same NCAA thoughts he had given Berns. This time he can't get a friendlier ear from Rosie because he chooses to curse. Well done Jerome. Two for two.
