Yesterday's developments in the Penn State scandal dominated much of the discussion on this program with NCAA President Mark Emmert's announcement of unprecedented sanctions against the football program and viewpoints from SCORE Sports Legal Analyst Eldon Ham, 670thescore.com Webmaster Adam Hoge & BTN's Gerry DiNardo in the final hour yesterday afternoon. While Terry & Dan B. might continue the Penn State talk as developments warrant, might they talk about these other things this afternoon?

*A White Sox 7-4 Winner over the Twins; Is Paulie Back to His Hitting Self Again?
*Cubs Shutout Pirates 2-0; Where's Ryan Dempster Going (If Anywhere?)
*More MLB Trades Before the Deadline?

No, the story must be told, over and over till death do us part. There is no reason for sports anymore because we must protect the children. It's their show, and they'll do what they want. The lemmings will listen and complain because that's what lemmings do.

I wouldn't bet on it. Beaver Stadium (by cracky) hasn't been burned down by the torch/pitchfork wielding mob so there's still important work to do! I'm wondering how we can get PTE or CTE or whatever that supertechnical concussion acronym is into, because clearly any kid who decides to go to Penn State over the next decade is suffering from [something]TE.

DISCLAIMER: i am in no way supportive nor do I care about Penn State football. I like the NFL. Go Bears! Aren't they starting training camp sometime soon, or is this gonna be WPEN all week?

It seems to me as if other than the Penn State scandal talk, the ONLY other place for actual sports talk on this show lately is inside "The Second Half" following the 3:30P "Scoreboard Update". Even that appears to be small potatoes in comparison to all this talk about Joe Paterno, Jerry Sandusky, Graham Spanier, Mike McQueary and Bernsy's constant Twitter mentions of Patriot News' reporter Sara Gamin & ABC27 in (Un)Happy Valley, PA. You'd think they talk about other things this afternoon, but that's not my call...

I do know this. The guys will be broadcasting from Bears' Training Camp next week. Terry & Dan B. along with Mac & Spiegs will be there one week from today, as well as Monday, August 6th & Tuesday, August 7th & Thursday, August 16th from Bourbonnais.

With training camp coming, I want them to run CTE experiments. Let's take the red haired genius and equip him in the latest Riddell helmet. Then use him as a tackling dummy for the scout team defense. Afterwards, let's pepper him with questions about creepy Sandusky. Here's betting that he will think Sandusky is a town from Tommy Boy, and creepy is Tom Calahan's step brother.

First year head coach Bill O'Brien was a guest this morning on "The Dan Patrick Show" with guest host Bonnie Bernstein (No Relation). He knew those NCAA sanctions were going to be harsh, but knew what he got himself into taking the job.

But anyways, what the hell else would a radio section on the forum be for? What Dan had for lunch? Various threads about things being said by our Radio Hero's? If that's the case, why not just have a show thread? Just what are you getting at here? Are you on drugs?

A simple: "Discuss" or "Insert something said on the show" works for me.


I dont need a generic preview of which Score reporters will be checking in and what lame ass segments theyll be doing

Just like last night, Laurence Holmes has "Xfinity Feedback Zone Live" at 6P. He builds another bridge to Twins/White Sox starting @ 6:35P with Chris Rongey's "Horseshoe Casino/White Sox Radio Network Pregame" from U.S. Cellular Field. First pitch @ 7:10P, with "SCORE Overnight" (EP Version) hosted by Les Grobstein & Adam Harris after Ranger's "Xfinity Postgame" until 5A Wednesday. Yeah, Grobber's doing the heavy lifting after the Sox yet again.

By the way, a heads up from SHARK..."B & B" are scheduled to start later than usual due to Twins/White Sox afternoon baseball. Mac & Spiegs will also be nipped. NO TRANSITION TOMORROW!
