He's represented the Cubs in the last 2 MLB All-Star Games and many feel he's part of the foundation of when the Cubs become contenders again. As the Cubs get ready to wrap up their series with the Astros, Bernsy asks the question "What's Wrong With Starlin Castro?" in the following column below.

While the jury nationally is still out regarding whether Castro is the Cubs' SS long term or if he'll moved to 3B or perhaps 2B in due time, this might be one of the talking points this afternoon between NOW & 5:30P when "B & B" depart for Chris Rongey's "Horseshoe Casino/White Sox Radio Network Pregame" leading up to Game 3 of White Sox/Blue Jays in Toronto.

That might be another topic, although Spiegs brought up the Nationals' pickle with Stephen Strasburg and their plan to shut him down regardless of Washington's first place standing.

Sandusky's pickle trumps the Nationals pickle

Stop doing the "bad at [sport]" thing. I can't take it anymore, from them, from you, from anyone.

Its called a slump, as long as he doesn't have a 3 year Beckham slump, he will be fine.

CH, that's what they always say about certain players, regardless of sport.

Tim Wilken. Manager of cool Excel spreadsheets. Maybe he can spell Dr. Ken's motor sports extravaganza.

Yeah, no shit. And it's annoying enough from them without parroting it.

There's nothing wrong with Castro. There's something wrong with guys like bernstein who wet their pants and start talking about the Hall of Fame when a Cub rookie hits .330 over 100 at-bats.

Rodeo, I think considering where the White Sox drafted Gordon Beckham, they were hoping for a lot more offensively. Defensively, he plays 2B with the best of them in Bud Selig's MLB. Beckham's also not as lazy as Castro was perceived by former ESPN analyst & soon-to-be former Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine last summer during a "Sunday Night Baseball" game at Wrigley. You remember that, don't you? Besides, I'd still take Beckham over Castro in a heartbeat.

He needs to be taking HGH again like Konerko and AJ are doing.

Castro is a good player, and will continue to be a good player. He has fallen off the Jeter pace, but slumps are to be expected...especially when it comes to the more human MLB players.

I'm not worried about him going forward.

My posts really don't require paraphrasing.

Another thing to consider with Castro being hung over vis-a-vis Kane being hung over is that Kane just doesn't play as well as he could play. Castro full-out goes to the zoo.

Beckham was drafted number 8, teams don't players there to just be good defensively, he is a bust at this point.

Busts don't drop by The Home Of The First-Place Chicago White Sox On The Toyota White Sox Radio Network to bring food or just hang out. Therefore, not a bust.

I'm not insane. Beckham's far & away the better defensive player than Castro. I can see it with my own eyes.
