After observing the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah yesterday, Bernstein's back in the driver's seat following the daily transition he & Boers have with Mac & Spiegs around 1:15P-ish or so. Among the things "B & B" might discuss... *A Postscript on the White Sox Thrilling Win Over the Tigers *Another Sox Letdown in KC Starting Tonight? *"Monday Night Football" Debacle; Refs Lose Control of Broncos/Falcons *"Moore" Fallout from Jay Cutler's Green Bay Meltdown *Pirates/Cubs Doesn't End Until 1:30A This Morning @ Wrigley *The SCORE/Pro Football Weekly/Dial Global Sports' Hub Arkush @ 5P |

Here's the Tuesday game plan with the guys... *3P: MLB Network/"MLB on FOX" Studio Analyst Harold Reynolds-White Sox in Driver's Seat? *3:30P: "The Second Half" *5P: The SCORE/PFW/Dial Global Sports' Hub Arkush-More Jay Cutler Fallout/More Replacement Refs? "Scoreboard Updates": Connor McKnight Connor slides into the host chair @ 6P for 35 minutes of bridge-building sports talk in advance of what's now called the "White Castle/White Sox Radio Network Pregame". Chris Rongey has that @ 6:35P leading into Game 1 of White Sox/Royals with first pitch @ 7:10P from Kansas City, MO. "SCORE Overnight", the EP version with Les Grobstein & Adam Harris, follows Rongey's "Xfinity Postgame" until 5A Wednesday. |

Before going to break, Baseball Prospectus says the White Sox now have an 82% chance of making the MLB Playoffs, compared to 21% for the Tigers. |

Myth" today on the Meat and Mac show? Did A.J. not grant them an interview or give them some perceived slight in the past? |

Giddy White Sox talk...... After talking about how nobody cares about the White Sox, they then go on and on about the White Sox. As if the sound drops of Farmio and what's his name aren't enough every commercial break. |

Larry DiNardo show theme song was kinda funny the first time. I hope they don't continue to overkill it all afternoon. |

Bernsy has Blackhawks on the brain in his latest column. He explains why a "Lockout Really Hurts the Hawks" here: http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2012/09/18/ ... the-hawks/ |

Quote: It would be hard to imagine a franchise with more to lose in the short term than the Blackhawks Does he mean in the NHL? Because if so, right off the top of my head I can give you the Coyotes (coming off their best season ever and the league is struggling to sell the team), the Panthers (made the playoffs for the first time since 2000 and can easily lose momentum in a crowded and fair-weather Miami, especially vis-a-vis the Heat), the Islanders (subsisting entirely off their local TV rights fee), and the Blue Jackets (serious cashflow problems and a terrible team). The Blackhawks will be hurt by the lockout, of course, but to say they're more vulnerable than numerous NHL franchises hanging on for dear life is the mere wishcasting of a Bulls fan who doesn't want anything to interfere with the Bulls. |

I thought of Harry after reading this paragraph: "There are many other stories like mine – Chicago-area parents who never played the sport, now schlepping black, nylon duffel bags the size of manatees. All because of what has happened in the last few years, timed ideally with a kid’s burgeoning interests and a conveniently-located rink" |

I'd put Los Angeles for sure in there. Even if there wasn't a lockout the drunken spending of the Dodgers and Howard & Nash to Lakers happenings have shoved them quickly into the background. The lockout just another giant nut punch. |

Well said CH. The Panthers already laid off employees today. |
