It happened as predicted. I hate being a Sox fan sometimes.

They will be up four by the end of the weekend.

As a lifelong Cub fan I really appreciate what the Sox have done this season. They have done more with less than any team in MLB. I had them at 80- 82 in my pre season predictions. I had the Cubs at 70- 92. I way undervalued the Sox. Over estimated the Cubs. So it goes.

That the Sox are in 1st only proves how shitty the Tigers are.

The Tigers problem is that they are -7 on the road. Teams with a losing road record shouldn't win their division.

Unfortunately, the Sox are probably gonna go 2-4 over the next 6.

I would love to give you a moon pounding in a royal fashion, of course.

I appreciate that. I was under the assumption that the feelings were gone.

Well, look on the bright side. The White Sox are done with the Royals & Tigers for the season.

The White Sox head out to Anaheim to face another underachieving team this weekend in the Angels. They might be in the market for a new manager if the Garth Brooks-looking Mike Scioscia doesn't find a way to get his Angels to overcome a 4 1/2 game deficit for the second AL Wildcard. The Angels start the night 8 1/2 games overall behind the Rangers in the AL West. Jake Peavy & Ervin Santana is the mound matchup, and The SCORE's own Steve Stone is supposed to be on this afternoon @ 2P to preview the big series with the guys.

For the record, Terry & Dan B. are broadcasting live this afternoon as Bud Light sends them to Krapil's The Great Steakhouse, 6600 W. 111th in Worth for this stop on the "Who Needs Two? Tavern Tour", complete with tickets to "this weekend's NFL game." I wonder what game that would be...

They're on pace to win 87 games in a highly competitive division. Scioscia should have his job as long as he wants it; the only ways he's gone are if he feels he's lost his passion for the game or if Arte Moreno has become a meddling nutjob. It wouldn't be the GM who fires him. Sosh is his own GM, practically speaking.

I have an interesting level of dislike for most 70's singer/songwriters. Don't like Jim Croce, either. Don't really like James Taylor. Jackson Browne isn't bad, though.

But now I have Moon Dancer stuck in my head, and it's pissing me off. I'd rather go back to having the riff from Seven Nation Army stuck in there thanks to the drunk redneck that was yelling it over and over while Indy was on defense last Sunday.

70's singer/songwriters are my musical wheelhouse. You would go epic boyd if forced to listen to my last.fm library.

Let's see, 70's tunes with these words Boyd hates.

Moon Shadow?
Tiny Dancer?
Moondance?
Dancing in the Moonlight?

Negatory, beni

Tiny Dancer is a personal favorite.

Moondance is an alltimer.

Not familiar with Dancing in the Moonlight.

Axl pulled quite the disappearing act. Fast Freddie was a great showman. Would have been fun to see him live at the height of his powers.

I read the title as "Royal Moon Pudding." Still can't decide if that sounds appetizing or disgusting.

I know its not really about this, but man Bohemian Rhapsody could easily be about him getting AIDS and telling his mom about it.

Weird.
