Quote: Eyewitnesses noted an enthusiastic effort by intelligent fans in the north end-zone to tamp down the noise from the stupid. A city thanks them. Keep it up. It's a good thing the educated, moneyed fans who could afford lower bowl seats were able to silence the noisy, false-start-inducing proletariat. When Chicago's best and brightest get home from paying too much to park at an event that costs too much to attend that's better enjoyed on free TV in the first place, I hope they set down their "Good as GOULD!!!" bullseye placards and find waiting for them their official Dan Bernstein Certificates Of Good Fanness. We couldn't have done this without them. I mean, SOME MAY ARGUE that playing the shitty St. Louis Rams who have lost 67 of their last 83 games might have helped the Bears win this game, but I think we know what the real difference-maker was. Oh, also Los Angeles just swept the White Sox, wah wah wah my baseball team lost wah wah wah it's so hard to be a Sox fan wah wah wah I knew they'd blow it like they allegedly always do wah wah wah my baseball fandom is defined by constant angst and disappointment in the clutch but I'm not a Cubs fan I just co-opt their act and resent their actual fans for doing the same crap without the benefit of having won a championship seven years ago, wah wah wah |

Also, expect to be informed that Torrey Smith's 2 Touchdowns last night did NOT bring his brother back to life. |

Even though it was a lost weekend for the White Sox in Anaheim, the guys will mention very little about what went wrong. It is a "State Farm Bears' Monday" on The SCORE, although I'm still not sure the Bears are "in a better State" after a less than impressive win over the Rams at Soldier Field yesterday. Chances are better than even money that The SCORE/WBBM Newsradio's Zach Zaidman will have the latest from Halas Hall & Matt Bowen breaks down how the defense won this game yesterday @ 5P this afternoon. |

The only way they say that is if they're refuting a columnist or broadcaster who has (ignorantly) tried to connect Torey's performance to his family tragedy. Hopefully no announcer or broadcaster did that yesterday. |

Hopefully no announcer or broadcaster did that yesterday. Every outlet did that yesterday. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with noting that a guy had a big performance during a time of personal tragedy. |

Like saying "Smith's brother was guiding the ball to him" or "Walter blocked that FG". |

I'm picturing an army of TFMs descending on the lower bowl, nodding beatifically as the rubes finally learn to stop ruining everything for poor Jay Cutler. |

If anything slam Ray Lewis for his asenine comments about having to live thru tragedy before getting your blessing. I'm betting Torrey Smith would trade his performance last night for his brother back. |

Id say believing Walter blocked that FG is on par with believing in any god, isnt it? Why care that someone thinks that or says that? |
