Terry is back from a one-day break this afternoon, and no more White Sox baseball to nip this show, as well as others on 670 The SCORE until Spring Training sometime in late February or early March in Glendale, AZ.

Although the Sox & Cubs will have plenty of work ahead of them in the offseason, the Bears, NFL, college football & Bulls basketball likely take over the discussion until pitchers & catchers report to Arizona in the New Year. If there's also any news relating to the Penn State football scandal, Dan B. has already said that this show will discuss it, too.

It is a "Who Ya Crappin'?" Thursday on this show, and you know Gary from Evanston is already hard at work preparing what he always brings to the table at 5P this afternoon.

Baseball was only bad for the National League ballclub.

Do not perpetrate the myth that the Sox had a bad year.

I'm not. It was a disappointing finish, that's for sure. The 2013 White Sox might look a lot different, even though their farm system is bone dry.

The thread title seems to indicate otherwise.

It is misleading. Don't pull a Romney.

Be like President Obama. Tell the truth. The Sox weren't bad baseball.

I talked to my White Sox guy and he steered me to this thread. Some very interesting stuff from Terry's Peeps.

SHARK is just repeating the talking points from the "blame street media".

Here's the Thursday Game Plan with Terry & Dan B.:

*TBA: The SCORE/WBBM/Bears Radio Network's Zach Zaidman-Bears' Defense Plans for Jacksonville
*3:30P: "The Second Half"

*4:45P: Cubs' TV PBP Len Kasper: The Misery Is Over! Sponsored by Budweiser
*5P: "Who Ya Crappin'?"-Gary from Evanston's Favorite Segment

Connor McKnight has "Scoreboard Updates" this afternoon. The Chicago Bears Network's "Bears All Access" with ZZ follows the guys @ 6P. The SCORE has the national radio broadcast of "Thursday Night Football" @ 7P. Dial Global Sports' Ian Eagle, Trent Green & Laura Okmin paint the picture for Cardinals/Rams in St. Louis, along with pregame & halftime host Scott Graham in New York. "SCORE Overnight" (EP Version) with Les Grobstein & Adam Harris follows ARZ/STL tonight around 11:15P-ish until 5A Friday.

Boers is complaining that the Bears/Jaguars' game in Jacksonville will kickoff at 3:05P instead of the traditional Noon kickoff on Sunday.

Like Boers is really going to watch anyway. He offers so little after Bears games that I'm convinced he just watches a few minutes of highlights just to cover his ass, otherwise he'll just nod and agree with whatever Bernstein says...and then make goofy noises.

Other than for FOX Sports, I don't understand why either of their late afternoon games are kicking off at 3:05P Sunday. Bears/Jaguars & Seahawks/Panthers are the two games that'll be on opposite 3 "NFL on CBS" games starting up @ 3:25P, headlined by Broncos/Patriots with Mac's buddy (NOT!) Phil Simms & Jim Nantz ("Hello friends...") on the call...

Dan can't DVR the Bears game so he can go see his kid's game because of...Twitter?

"Everything is happening live on Twitter and social media. You have to be there to see it all live."

What am I missing? Simply seeing the game isn't good enough, you have to be able to see all the pithy comments your buddies make on Twitter during the game? "I'm sorry son, I can't go to your game because Darren Rovell might tweet something snarky."

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin' home dad?
I don't know when, but we'll get together then son
You know we'll have a good time then

Sometimes when he's deep in to a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Gregg Popovich will spill about half a pound of the ton of stuff he runs. Do you know how exciting that is for an NBA fan? And it beats stalking Carlos Boozer at airports!

SOX ATTENDANCE TALK!

Apparently Dan is blaming people not going to Bridgeport on...being afraid of Englewood, apparently. This would be great, except that Sox games are mostly attended by Sox fans, and Sox fans will jump down your throat at the mere suggestion that going to a game on the Supposedly Scary South Side is anything but safe, inasmuch as Comiskey is basically a fortress of sorts. Some will even massage crime data to tell you that statistically speaking, Lake View is a more dangerous neighborhood. And besides, Bridgeport isn't even near the really bad parts of the South Side where people are shooting each other. Bridgeport itself is just cranky old Irish/Italians.

Even though Dan smartly inoculated himself from criticism by saying that it was other people's fallacious reasoning and not his own, it was still dumb to bring it up.

Going back to this one again.

"It's not about ego."
"Is it a little about ego?"
"It's a lot about ego."

Speaking in some really loving tones about how the White Sox "broke the mold" by...having terrible broadcasters?

"You won't find another booth like that anywhere in baseball." Good!

"There are a lot of stereotypes with the owner thing and the neighborhood thing."

Yep! Cheap-ass Jews and scary blacks! That's all that stands between the Sox and 4 million attendance.

I thought when the White Sox won it all in 2005, their attendance issue would've gone away. Well, when the Sox end up saying goodbye to Kevin Youkilis, Brett Myers, Gavin Floyd, Francisco Liriano, Matt Thornton, A.J. Pierzynski and other high-priced veterans, then what?
