Does anyone know what has to happen to kill this story for Dan and Terry?

Um, for there to stop being news developments?

You are aware that something happened today, right? Graham Spanier? Charged with perjury and child endangerment...kinda noteworthy, no?

Yes,you are right. The whole story still amazes me. I just can't beleive all these "smart" men doing the wrong thing.

Are the other shows today on Chicago sports radio going to focus on this?

No. For a sports radio show held in Chicago, it absolutely does not warrant being mentioned. M&H and M&S managed to get through entire shows without spending 17 segments on it.

Are you implying that this story does not need to be told?

Because this story needs to be told.

Over and over and over again. It's not that they mention new developments and move on. They use anything new related to the case to recycle the same old outrage and self congratulatory pats on the back for staying on the case. Then followed up by telling their listerners to stop texting and letting them know they don't like the product. And Bernstein actually just said "it's a block party". gay!

C'mon Jimmy. You know better than that. Intelligence and ethics are not correlated at all. If anything, they are negatively correlated.

Don't be that guy today, Kid....You want to mention it, fine....but it doesn't have to be the main focus of your show...the local sports shows prior to B&B didn't mention it at all.

Graham Spanier's attorney points the finger front & center at Gov. Tom Corbett in a video statement, re-tweeted by SportsByBrooks. WOW!

I don't think this is what Stacey King means when he sends out invitations to the block party

He was actually referring to the post-Britpop alternative rockers Bloc Party.

.....I'll show myself out.

Okay, I'm listening. I take back what I said. I understand mentioning the story, but they're doing the same shows they did last year from November 2011 through January of this year, complete with the "emotional molestation victim" caller. This is hard to listen to, so I will not continue.

OKC, it's one thing for the guys to mention this story, let alone devote a segment or two, especially on days like today where there is actual news. There are other topics they should be discussing. Besides, this is supposed to be The SCORE...

They had been on that for 45+ minutes when I tuned out at 2:20. That means they have proabably spent 2.5 hours on it so far... just today.

They're supposed to have Cubs' 2B Darwin Barney, two days removed from him winning his first NL Gold Glove NEXT followed by "NFL on FOX" & NFL Network's Brian Billick in the next hour via the Home Run Inn Hotline.

Hopefully that puts the Penn State discussion to bed...for now anyway.

Here's what I don't understand. Mac mentioned today ratings can now be measured down to quarter-hour and half-hour segements. If even hardcore sports radio fans (using this board as a barometer) are checking out I can't imagine the number of casual listeners tuning out. Wouldn't PD Rosen be able to see the presumed massive difference between PSU talk and local sports talk?

As been said by a few people before, if B&B were switched back into mid-day with M&S I think W&S could possibly beat them. He's lucky CJ&H is the afternoon drive competition.

Sick of the story, but it didn't bother me when they had the Yahoo Sports guy on today to talk about it when actual news happened. I can't hang the "not interested" because some of it I do find interesting. However, when it's just Dan and Terry talking about it, the story becomes completely uninteresting because I've heard it all before from Dan. Maybe they'll completely kill the Quote of the Year show again with this idiocy.

My question is will Bernstein have the balls to include Penn State talk in the Tournament of Bad or will he issue some edict that they won't allow votes for it.I could totally see that little fucking weasel doing something like that.

I think you already know the answer to that, man. Hell no he won't allow any votes for it.

How could he possibly justify doing that though Kid and maintain any credibility?Even the most ardent Lil Danny nut lickers would have to call him out on that wouldn't they?

Good point I stand corrected. The credibility his fawning fan club seems to think he has then.

Berns won't want to poke fun at his own "Super Serious Radio" thing. Trust me, it's off limits. He's not self-aware enough.
