Wasn't feeling creative in regards to the title, so I borrowed lyrics from the song I was listening to at the time.

WYC at 5
Meat head callers throughout
Dan will be angry
Terry will huff, hem, haw, and agree with everything Dan says

Listen or don't. I don't give a shit, and neither do the metrics.

Thread title well below the value of an average poster. You are Miguel Cabrera to Curious Hair's Mike Trout.

Never said I was quality. Basically I'm a September call-up for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The entire Mully and Hanley show disagree.

But I know what you mean.

I've listened to M&H recently. I haven't listened to a minute of WYC in a couple months, and judging by comments here it's only gotten worse since then. It's far worse than any segment that Mike and Mike ever does.

before Kansas City's loss on MNF, Tirico said that you couldn't count the Chiefs out in their division.

Low hanging fruit.

Someone needs to invent the atom gin; then we'll really be getting somewhere.

That would drastically change the paradigms at Michigan and MIT and present a brand new set of problems for black physicists everywhere.

Listening to Dan read wikipedias and other people's copy/pastes from online medical watchdog websites reminds of JUST. HOW. IMPORTANT. THE. RADIO. HE. IS. DOING, IS. Blech. The only thing worse is the blind "yup, yes, that's correct" crap that Terry spews after somebody provides some sort of educated explanation of something. "That's exactly it, correct"

Dan: "So did you watch the Bulls game last night [you know, the only professional Chicago sports game last night]?"
Terry: "Eeeyah, I watched most of the 4th quarter and overtime."

That's dedication to your craft, right there.

Eh, I have (for months at a time). I'm currently back in, and while some laughs are to be had there is just so much "hot garbage" on this show. I guess, in a way, it makes me (and I assume others) angry as these guys get paid to talk sports.....and their level of apathy (Terry) and anger (Dan) towards their chosen career is frustrating to listen to. I've never been the guy to say "get out to the game and at least watch it from the press box!!!" but hot damn Terry can't be bothered to even WATCH the only major Chicago sports event last night? Jeepers creepers.

Found this interesting reading about Chris Henry

From Wikipedia:

Quote:
The discovery that Henry had CTE has become a serious issue of concern for football and brain safety, especially since Henry was relatively young and had never been diagnosed with a concussion in either his five NFL seasons or his college career at West Virginia. Concern has been raised whether an accumulation of lesser blows could eventually be enough to cause brain damage. It was also believed that the brain damage Henry suffered may have been a factor in his numerous off-the-field incidents.[

Oooof! Edited for clarity:

You can call me an idiot but I have no issue with Brian Urlacher telling kids one thing and then doing another. The kids Dan's talking about are not going to play in the NFL where if you're "down", as Dan likes to say, your job and livelihood is in danger. These kids will have a life outside of football, Brian Urlacher will not.

Yeah, that would fall under the simplistic arguments category that Dan typically operates under. Not to be confused with his scorched earth type of arguments.

And boy would I love to hear Bernstein and Billick try to out-petulance each other someday. Both are astoundingly bitchy men. It's gonna happen.
