I'm listening to transition until I'm finished typing this and Bernstein said that he wants to watch the Colts v. Patriots game to see if the Colts "inspiration" of their sick coach can make them good enough at football to beat Bill Belichick.

Cancer. Cancer. Better at Football. Mascot. Lance Armstrong. Cancer. Cancer.

He sounds about as petulant and unlikeable as a person can sound, and good for Spiegel for essentially telling him as much.

PTFB before transition is even over.

You mean he did't fit Penn St. into the conversation? He's losing his fastball.

Just another chance for people to break out the "Bernsie hates everything" narrative.

It makes me kind of sad what an awful radio show this has become.

I'd read old threads to relive when the show was really good but bigfan deleted all of them.

I missed transition but tried to listen and got about 40 minutes into the program before it became bad to listen. Two people, one in love with the sound of his voice and the other a stuttering parrot, droning on about a topic in which they've become self-appointed experts, asking the same assinine question every day this week (why didn't Lovie answer the question this way?) and occasionally interrupting their selves to take a phone call where they hang up on the first caller, and then question the intelligence of the next two who are still looking to talk.

I listened to transition on podcast and I realize that what once could be an entertaining show is now the domain of a person who doesn't give a fuck about being entertaining (fair enough) and wants everyone to know, more or less.

Its not sports but an articulate form of the MNMS. Unlike Mike, who I could tune in at the same time every day and hear almost the same damn thing, this show goes on for five hours a day, 25 hours a week.

Time for me to do the right thingn and the smart thing, and consciously not listen.

I'm sure you guys believe it used to be much better, but it sounds like the same show I listened to in 2007, which easily explains why MJH regularly kicked it's ass.

I dunno. The belittling of callers and slaughtering of sacred strawmen has always been there, but it used to be more selective and less pedantic, such that I found myself agreeing with them most of the time. And even when it went too far, you never had to wait more than 15 minutes before they'd descend into some bit of off-the-wall hilarity. Rimjobbing callers and texters were more often mocked than praised. There was no such thing as Very Important Radio. It was just a different show.
