Post subject:  11/30: No Day Off For These Guys!

There's a reason why I came up with the title "No Day Off For These Guys!" in regards to today's show, originating live from Flo & Santos, 1310 S. Wabash in the South Loop, for the "Bud Light 'Who Needs Two?' Tavern Tour" starting at around 1:15P-ish.

It was a topic mentioned late in yesterday's show, when a friend of this program, Palm Beach Post NBA scribe Ethan Skolnick, Tweeted news that the San Antonio Spurs would rest Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker & Danny Green for last night's game vs. the NBA Champion Miami Heat around 90 minutes before tipoff. There's talk NBA Commissioner David Stern wasn't pleased one bit with what HC Gregg Popovich did resting 4 of his veterans and has threatened "substantial sanctions", whatever that means. By the time these guys hit the air, we might know more details what Stern meant by that, but it also could be a topic of discussion during this afternoon's show.

In addition to the latest NBA controversy, the guys will talk a great deal more about the Seahawks/Bears' game, including giving away tickets to "this weekend's NFL game", along with Bulls' tickets in the Bud Light Legends Lounge.

Because Zach Zaidman is en route to Auburn, AL to call DePaul/Auburn NCAA Basketball on 560 AM WIND tonight, I'm not sure who will provide this afternoon's "Chicago Football Report". BTN's Ben Stein-looking Gerry DiNardo joins the guys @ 4P this afternoon to discuss a lot of college football issues, such as the Big Ten expanding yet again to include Maryland & Rutgers, the Wisconsin/Nebraska Big Ten Championship game tomorrow night, why Illinois is sticking with HC Tim Beckman for football, and who he thinks will provide the opposition for Notre Dame in the BCS Championship Game between #2 Alabama/#3 Georgia in the SEC Championship Game tomorrow in Atlanta. It's a game The SCORE carries via Dial Global Radio Network tomorrow @ 2:30P with John Tautges & Terry Donahue on the call.

It might be passive aggressive but you're still attacking SHARK.

See you in a week.

Yeah, because I've never posted *SIGH* after anybody else's posts, right?

Hell, I got Doug with it just yesterday.

So, in response to your post SomeGuy:

What's on the Score tonight that they farmed out the DePaul game to 560? or do they not carry DePaul anymore?

The answer...NIU/Kent State in the MAC Championship game in Detroit. That'll start @ 6P via IMG Radio Network on The SCORE, CH. That's why DePaul/Auburn has been shifted to 'IND tonight.

If a thread title requires a 200 word explaination, it might be poorly conceived.

That being said...

"Huh?"

NBA purist Dan Bernstein will not only seek to eliminate 20 games from the NBA schedule, but maybe 5-15 teams as well. REAL BIG-CITY STUFF.

I know. The drops are funny, but because they'll always be funny. Choosing one of the most irritating songs of all time to be the feature is no bueno.

Yeah, the "Friday" song by what the hell's her name? Rebecca Black? As they say on the show before it...

Keep it...

Ugh, these B&B sports minutes. With the exception of "Dan Hampton: The Manimal," it's really not about flubbing names so much as just having really bad thoughts.

Would you rather hear Drinky or Doug Gottlieb?

False binary. Drinky doesn't appear in lieu of Doug Gottlieb.

Actually, who would you rather hear?

By the way, Penn State football coach Bill O'Brien joins CNN's Piers Morgan tonight @ 8P. I'm sure Bernsy will be tuned in for that...

Doug Gottlieb just went so balls-deep into a Maury Povich allegory that I forgot what he was even referring to in the first place. So to answer your question, yes, I would rather hear him.
