Post subject: | 12/5: Today's the Day..."Quote of the Year Show!" |
Today on a very special "Boers & Bernstein Show"... How cheesy is that? As soon as Mac & Spiegs wrap up the daily transition with Terry & Dan B., executive producer Matt Abbatacola & the show's new associate producer Chris Tannehill have quite a task ahead of them. This afternoon, the guys put together the annual "Quote of the Year Show", complete with plenty of audio gems from the calendar year going in and out of commercial breaks. Chances are better than even money we'll hear a gem or two from veteran FOX Sports' PBP voice Dick Stockton, the late Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, the bizarre Franco Harris, and a whole lot more. Even if listeners can't stand Terry & Dan B., today's show should be a real doozy. There's also the regular business at hand, such as the Bears practicing minus LB Brian Urlacher as they start preparing for a rematch at what's now called Mall of America Field vs. the Vikings in Minneapolis. There's also an awful Bulls' loss to the just as awful Pacers at United Center and the White Sox likely saying bye-bye to Kevin Youkilis with the reported signing of 3B/2B Jeff Keppinger at the MLB Winter Meetings in Nashville. It's all coming up. |

This show was a disaster last year. Let's hope that no Penn State news comes out in the next 5 hours. |

It'd be cool if they could talk to Joe Paterno today. Haven't heard many interviews from him lately. |

How can they waste time with all that bullshit when the Jeff Keppinger era has begun? |

I am going to tune in for a while, I could use some laughs. Gun control talk makes for bad radio. |

How about Matt's dig at Jason during tranny, "nothing against Goff, but the production value of the show has risen with Tanny"? |

That's actually a pretty weak list. I would have had that golf coach that threatened his team with playing more golf. At least the Connor McDoink. |

Actually, they should've used the one where McKnight said "Jay Podium" from when he did a "Scoreboard Update" on the Mac & Spiegs show... |
