11m Dan Bernstein @dan_bernstein I'm hearing that high-level meetings will take place at Halas Hall today, but there is no word of any announcement expected, yet. #Bears Collapse Reply Retweet Favorite Is there any reason to believe BeerStain has any sources left with the Bears? |

My sources are reporting the Phil Emery has BANNED every person with the last name of McCaskey from the Bears complex to show his power. |

Even IF the decision is all Emery's (it's not), like BeerStain says, Any of the McCaskeys could step in at the last minute and veto it. Even if they said they wouldnt. Not sure why Dan doesnt get this. Too much pot at Duke I guess. |

It's pretty hilarious to think about all the McCaskey family coming in today to find out if Phil Emery has decided to fire Lovie or not.

What a lame tweet by Bernstein. No shit there's meetings going on the day they fired their head coach. This is equivalent to tweeting "My sources tell me the Bears are going to look at candidates for their head coaching vacancy." |

If the Bears had already reached out for permission to interview coaches this morning, safe to assume Bernstein's "report" was full of shit? |

Schefter says he was contacted at 845 am that the Bears had already sent out requests. Meetings today were inconsequential. Nice work, Bernsy. |

David Kaplan @thekapman Sources tell me Bears already begun the process of reaching out to multiple candidates not only assistants. Decision was made a while ago |

Bernstein doesn't have anything credible to report on the Bears. It's always "things could happen, but maybe they won't" so he can claim he's always right. |

Keeping Score wrote: This all started when Boers leaked the news about the Lovie contract extension. The Bears, Lovie, etc.... had to backpedal a bit to keep Boers from being right. This led to hurt feelings, mistrust and general chaos. Thus the resulting slide for the rest of the season. It could be argued that Terry Boers got Lovie Smith fired. |

It would be pretty funny if Mac & Spiegs started playing the "Terry Boers is reporting..." drop about Lovie getting an extension. It would be funny if W&S or CJH played them, too, but I don't think AM1000 would do that and nobody would hear it if CJH did it. |
