Remember when Terry insisted the Bear initiated talks about an offer to extend Lovie when they were 7-1?

So in one season Emery went from extending Lovie to firing him? Hmmmm?

Terry Peeps???

You mean in half a season.
I bet they were thinking about an extension but it clearly wasn't something the Bears would want to jump into only halfway thru a light schedule.

Bernsy mentioned it again just now. He apparently believes the report.

Backing up his guy Terry.

In one sentence Bernsie talks about them making this call weeks ago, but yet believes a contract extension was offered?

While possible, sure makes Emery looks like the Windsock if it was true.

To be clear, Bernstein said Lovie was offered a 2 yr extension which he turned down (maybe he called North for advise). Then the season played out and...buh bye.

I think everyone knows no extension was ever offered at the time and clearly now it has been proven....Dan just knows there is no way to prove it.

Exactly. It can't be both ways. It just can't. He knew he wanted to fire him, yet he offered him a contract? What?

A contract was on the table 2 months ago and Phil Emery knew he wanted to fire him one month ago? No. Sell crazy some place else.

Wonder if they had the PA sounding guy who announced the Olympics won/lost thing pre-recorded for Lovie Smith's firing

Just like when teinowitz "broke" the story that superdome was never going to have the saints games again...both gambled n lost, like Goff n his Wade story.

Post subject:  Re: What about the Boers report?

Bernstein keeps saying Emery knows what he wants.

Well, if a contract was there for Lovie to sign just 2 months ago, then Emery knew he was gonna fire him one month ago, then it simply means Emery doesn't know what he wants. That he's not decisive. Think about it. If Lovie did sign an extension 2 months ago, it would have meant that Emery had a guy he didn't want. That Emery would have been regretting it one month later.

So everything Bernstein says on this matter is bullshit.

Bernstein is full of shit, he is attempting. To lend credibility to his show with "sources" that just don't exist...no contract was ever offered...I hope someone asks Smith so he can lay this BS. To rest.

I think you may want to get an MRI.

It's quite simple, really.

Rather than occasionally watching a game or reading a newspaper, Boers elects to make up news stories to try and seem relevant. We knew it was BS then. The only new development today is that Bernstein doubled down on this ridiculous story.

PS - it is quite clear that 312player's phone had a stroke and is still recovering.

I've resigned myself to the belief that his experiments with syntax and punctuation are just plain over my head. He's the E.E. Cummings of the CSFMB.

312player works in unintelligible posts the way other artists might work in oils or clay. It is his true medium; a master.
