Bernstein's Twitter apparently was hacked. Looking at you Speeps! Dan Bernstein @dan_bernstein Make This Your New Years Resolution http://bit.ly/WUK0ub - The Fastest Way To Lose Body-Fat in (2)-Weeks I thought about posting this without stating the obvious, only to see how many people would take it seriously and become angry. |

Viva la ReVolution! This is just the first step in our escalating war against Bernstein. Wait til we get a hold of the Ten Seconds of Glory line! We are Legion, and our numbers are many. |

I immediately had a negative thought pop into my head because of the mention of Penn State. I blame Bernstein for that. 14 Tommy Olczyk SO F 5-10 185 Long Grove, Ill. Sioux City Musketeers (USHL) |

Bernstein's Twitter account is up & running again, and one of the subjects Bernstein & Holmes might discuss is "Ricketts, Cubs Learn From Mistakes", the subject of Dan's latest column: http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2013/01/23/ ... -mistakes/ |

What's so uproariously funny about that Foley clip? I couldn't hear it over Leery's obnoxious cackling. |

AHAHA there it is the Cubs got this done because they hired Really Smart People. I can't count how many times these two have talked about Wrigley Field and not once said anything intelligent. |

Now that the Cubs are no longer on WGN everyday and if I am correct the Cub games do not go out to the cable WGN superstation outside of Illinois is tourism still big? On WGN here I get sitcom shows no Cubs and I figure a good portion of the fans that used to watch everyday might be dying off since 1984. I guess what I am getting at what is more important winning and money or Wrigley? I am not a Cubs fan so cannot answer but if I were I wouldn't mind them tearing it down and building another like the Yankees did. How much more than 300 million would that be really? |

I meant people in their 50's in Iowa taking bus trips to Wrigley because of Harry in 1984. Yep they may be dead now. |

Dan's really in full troll mode. Credit again to Laurence for saying "Well, not completely..." whereas useless Terry would have offered little more than "Yup, that's what I think too." |

Well, let's see. Yankee Stadium cost $1.5 billion. CitiField cost $900 million. The Loriatorium cost $634 million. 611 for Target Field, 545 for Nats Park. So, um, I would ballpark-estimate, as it were, $750 million for a new park? |

Post subject: | Re: 1-23: The Revolution is Fighting Dirty |
Longer term, the Cubs and WGN messed up by moving games off the channel and going to a WGN America format outside Chicagoland. I am always amazed at how many people I run into that love the Cubs as their primary or secondary team outside while growing up outside IL. Their reasoning always relates back to the superstation. I feel the same way about nights games. They are slowly killing the golden goose for shorter term gains. A final "bad" thing is having Milwaukee in the NL because many Wisconsin residents will cheer for the Brewers over the Cubs. The folks my age (around 40) cheer for both teams because they were never rivals. |

Post subject: | Re: 1-23: The Revolution is Fighting Dirty |
I agree with you on the folly of taking games off channel 9. However, there have been separate Chicago/America feeds for WGN for a while now, at least 16 years (it has to do with syndication rights, largely), and Cubs/Sox games always air on both feeds. Some Bulls games are on both and some are just local. Hawks games are just local. It's all terribly confusing and annoying, but it doesn't have anything to do with the Cubs. The problem is their offloading of games to CLTV, FSN--->CSN, and most ignominiously, channel 26. I disagree on Milwaukee being bad. Milwaukee was an NL town to begin with, and the Cubs-Brewers rivalry has been fun. I think if you've been a Cubs fan in Wisconsin, you'll stay a Cubs fan. |
