The Bulls did not draft Asik. He was a free agent. |

Asik was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2008 NBA Draft and traded to the Chicago Bulls in a three-team deal. |

In hindsight, considering how little they've gotten from BOTH Nazr Mohammed & Vladimir Radmanovic off the bench so far, and now that Joakim Noah has recurring plantar fasciitis, this time in his right foot, Bulls' management is definitely wishing they still had Omer Asik on this roster. It's just if the Rockets didn't make such an outrageous offer to Asik, I bet he'd still be in a Bulls' uniform right now. |

If the CBA rules allowed the Bulls to not back load the last year of Asik's deal, and, instead, spread it evenly over the length of the deal, he'd be a Bull. Unfortunatley, those are the rules. |
