A summary of the latest ratings report from Larz...

As impressive as WSCR-AM's numbers were in the all ages demographic, giving them all-time highs, the numbers are even more impressive in the station's target demographic of Men 25-54. The gap between this sports talker and their closest rival, WMVP-AM seems to keep widening. Overall, WSCR-AM was #1 with Men 25-54 with a 5.9 share, while WMVP-AM was #11 with a 3.1. In mornings, WSCR-AM was again #1 with a 7.3 share, while WMVP-AM was #8 with only a 3.6 share. In middays, WSCR-AM is #2 with a 5.4 share (WDRV-FM is #1), while WMVP-AM is #9 with a 3.5 share. For afternoons, WSCR-AM is again #1 with a 6.5 share, while WMVP-AM is down to #17 with a 2.6 share. If this was a boxing match between these two radio stations, the referee would have stopped the fight by now.

Get rid of Harry and lead is cut in half. For the roughly 20 minutes I am in my car every day during the time these shows are on, I usually give B and B a try then head to music. I can't listen to CJH.

It's one thing to lose to B&B. But for a sports show to be #17 the male demo with B&B at #1 is pathetic. I wonder if they'll ever fire people over there. Somebody could do better than 17th place. ESPN 1000 drop-kicked Mac's ass when he was at least top 5. Mac always beat B&B.

Speeps that was great. I'm honestly shocked by this. I'm a very loyal B&B guy, but even I can admit the show has been a rough listen more often than not of late. I feel like there's just a growing sentiment of anti-ESPN backlash that's doing more to influence the ratings rather then the comparative product both stations put out.

ESPN Radio bosses dropped the ball. I'm not sure if it was the folks in Bristol, CT or on State Street that made the call for Harry to keep his job. When I read the story initially, ESPN had a zero tolerance policy when their employees got in hot water.
