After ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio raised eyebrows yesterday on "The Dan Patrick Show" regarding the sexuality of Mante Te'o before his disappointing NFL Combine time, might the discussion about the Notre Dame LB's draft status remain front & center this afternoon on the "Boers & Bernstein Show"? That's just one of the stories the guys might discuss, along with...

*Blackhawks' 3-2 OT Thriller over the Oilers
*Cavs/Bulls: No Kyrie Irving, No Taj Gibson-Knee Injuries Sideline Both
*Spring Training Updates
*Who Else Might the Bears Target in the NFL Draft?

All of that and who knows what else start right now until 6P.

Here's the Tuesday Game Plan:

*3:30P: "The Second Half"

*5P: Bleacher Report's Matt Miller
NFL Combine Talk: Should the Bears Draft a LB, TE or OL with the #20 Pick?

"Scoreboard Updates": Zach Zaidman

The first "White Sox Baseball Live: Presented by Miller Lite" show with hosts Chris Rongey & Laurence Holmes follows "B & B" @ 6P this eve. Nothing but White Sox talk until 8P. Holmes will then have the nighttime SCORE until 10P on his own. Connor McKnight has updates on BOTH "Sox Live" & the Holmes show this eve, and will have the latenight SCORE @ 10P leading into "SCORE Overnight" @ Midnight with Les Grobstein and Adam Harris.

Why can't the boys just say they do not want Teo because of the girlfriend junk and the fact that they do not like Notre Dame?

One game sample of the Bama game has little to do with whether he will be a good NFL player or not.

Those two things alone are more than enough reason for me not to want him on the Bears. Add to that fact that he is slow and afraid to do bench press reps and it is enough for me to say pass. The Bears have plenty of needs beyond MLB. How about another terrible OLineman in the first round. That seems to be a traditional mid first round miss spot for the Bear.

Former Bears' QB turned Comcast SportsNet analyst & Sirius/XM's Jim Miller seemed to raise similar eyebrows and concerns about Mante Te'o on the Mac & Spiegs Show about 2 hours ago.

Yes. You shouldn't like him because there is a strong possibility that he doesn't have the physical tools of someone that would be taken (har!) in the 1st or 2nd round.

If there are truly handfulls of players on every team that are gay and everybody knows this, then you can't also say it's no big deal.

If it isn't a big deal and nobody cares, then at least one of them would have come out already.

I read a mock showing that not only would the three top OT tackles would be taken but also the top two OG before 20. That is a nightmare situation. I suppose (as the mock did) that they would either trade down or take Fluker.

Fuck, I wish they had just taken Decastro with that pick last year.

If all that takes place before their pick then I would be happy with Fluker or with them taking the best TE on the board.

That is really not great news. Worried about Fluker's weight and his knees because of said weight.

I think Eifert displayed skills coveted in a TE. Emery had said that the high jump (or whatever they call it) was the most indicative skill of athleticism that translated to the next level. Eifert did well. He also ran very well. I don't think it is much of a stretch to take him at 20. Emery wants playmakers. He looks like a playmaker to me.

That is a dangerous game to play though unless you get someone in the OL in FA. A second round OL is no sure bet to start and they have to have a starter next year.

I'd be mighty happy if 1) the signed Bushrod, 2) they drafted Eifert in round 1 and 3) they drafted Barrett Jones in round 2.

I don't think it should be a big deal, but Katie Couric asked the question on her syndicated talk show a few weeks ago when the Mante Te'o controversy was front & center.

Couric to Te'o: "Are you gay?"

The Bears have a great deal of needs, but I'm not sure how much Te'o's sexuality should really factor into where he gets drafted. I wonder if it's scaring teams away from drafting him from the Top 20 to out of the first round & beyond in the NFL Draft.

I usually don't listen before the five oclock hour.

The Bushrod thing is even a little problematic as he is not that great and will probably want big money.

I am starting to get depressed about the whole OL situation even for next year.

Decastro was hurt this year, of course he will be fresh. He is still a complete unknown. He very well maybe a bust.

It's possible...and you would be looking at Carimi and Decastro both with medical issues and little experience.

I think the best scenario to hope for right now is that one of the guards fall. You can take OT off you first round wish list because that isn't happening (I think Fluker will probably play guard)

Speaking of Jake Long, even though The SCORE/PFW/Dial Global's Hub Arkush suggested at the end of the NFL season that Jake Long wouldn't be franchised, I get the impression Miami's not going to let him go that easily. Whether Jake is franchised or not, I think it's going to cost a lot of $$$$ to get him.

I think Capitol Hill Bill is actually just Bernsie's email alter ego, "sending" in snarky, overanalytical emails to back up various Bernstein approved points.

Mattabattacola is starting to rival Harry Teinowitz in the ablity to be funny 1 out of every 10 attempts but still get back on that horse and fall off again.

Speaking of meatballs....that Ikea bit yesterday showed that Matt spent too much time partying and picking up babes on campus while earning his degree at the Illinois Center for Broadcasting.

Speaking of Stacy Keach I wonder if he'll ever narrate a show about ICB's owner.

Stacy Keach's the voice of CNBC's critically acclaimed "American Greed". He's very busy with that.

B&B are off about the whole "college coach" thing. The idea of aggrandizing coaches is mostly a media creation by ESPN and other marketing. Fans will call for a coach to be fired at the first sign of adversity. Even after 6 20 win seasons in a row, there are people thinking that Purdue's coach should be fired because this year has been bad. Kentucky fans love Calipari now but they hated Tubby Smith.

Of course the great coaches are held in high regard just like Phil Jackson and Don Shula are.

Nick Saban will be fired from Alabama at some point.

Mack Brown is literally one year away from being fired for only winning 9 games last year because 3 years ago he had a 5 win season.
