Still trying to understand how Dan cares only about what the athlete does on the field (in the case of Tiger), but then rips apart Ray Lewis.

B&B were so full of shit yesterday, I could smell it from Oak Park. First saying that blacks were free to play baseball the only problem being that they weren't allowed to. Then you have to like the "best" athletes like Tiger Woods and not like scrappy guys who try hard. Except for Kobe, you can like him even though he is a shell of his former self.

Because Ray Lewis talks about Jesus, so Bernstein doesn't like him. If Tiger became a Christian, Bernstein would feel the same about him too.

Because Ray Lewis is a hypocrite and deserves to be ripped. The entire time Tiger was having Ambien zombie sex with Perkin's hostesses he never once told us how gosh darn wonderful that Jesus fella was.

If hypocrisy is the only reason Bernstein rips on someone, then a certain warning about people in glass houses chucking stuff about comes to mind.

I heard them talking about Tiger yesterday. They did the same riling up the meatballs schtick with him as they did with the Heat and LeBron James last summer. That is, they don't say you have to like Tiger/LeBron/etc but you have to at least appreciate/can't deny their greatness. And that really is as stupid thing to say because there isn't anyone on Earth that's denying that Tiger and LeBron are great at what they do, some people just want to hate on douchebags.

How on earth could anyone root for Tiger Woods?

Rings of sports bad guys, from outer to inner:

1. guys who have TV specials to announce where they are signing
2. steroid users
3. guys who won't sign autographs for little kids
4. college basketball coaches
5. guys who throw games
6. guys who ruin their families' lives by sleeping with skanky bitches
7. drug dealers
8. rapists and child abusers
9. murderers

Oh no doubt, Dan is a living breathing contradiction. He's just made it very clear he doesn't enjoy having Christianity shoved in his face by athletes and then having that message held up by the sports media as "the right way" to do things. I tend to agree with him in that regard.

Well in Lewis' case the LB can seem like he's using religion to wash away his involvement in a murder. As far as other devout Christians, I don't know if Dan would have a problem with them if they didn't use religion as a cloak to obscure from vision heinous crimes like murder. I think his issue with Tebow's Christianity is of a different kind (e.g. the preachy, in your face kind that I don't think Bernstein is alone in hating). I don't know anyone off the top of my head, but I imagine a devout Christian (or any person of any religion) who went about his business quietly, without using his public platform to preach, wouldn't bother Bernstein at all.

It would bug the shit out of him, he just wouldn't say anything about it.

50 game suspension if you charge the mound, really? These 2 are ridiculous. Also don't want you to run over the catcher at the plate. This shit is nonsense.

I could see that rule. It's different than a scuffle that may occur in other sports. You have to run a good distance to fight, so it's not a spur of the moment reaction.

I'm sure Dan was hit by plenty of pitches growing up. Turning all those 95 MPH pitches into home runs had to anger the opposing pitchers.

Ok, im gonna go partial meatball here.

DO NOT take charging the mound out of the game. It has a place.

Red Sox won 2 using advanced statistics. (Assuming this relates to the Hawk-Kenny thing)
