Forget what caller, but he referenced a 2-13-13 "column" from Dan, excerpt below: Quote: More importantly, no two knee injuries heal the same way, and no recovery is linear. It may indeed be the best course of action for Rose to listen to conservative advice from his doctors and trainers, and to listen to his own body. Nobody wins if a rushed rehabilitation brings complications and unforeseen risks – not the franchise, not Rose, not even all-powerful Adidas and the glitzy commercial serial they are filming along the way I found it to be hilarious since Dan has strongly stated since the March 2013 leak of medically cleared that rose should be playing..... one of the best craps I've heard in a while, Bernstein said nothing, no snarky remark or tone.... just on to the next one.... typically if Dan doesnt think it was deserved he'll let the listener know.. |

I too find it hilarious that someone takes this column out of context. I believe this was before it was revealed that Rose was kicking butt and taking names in 5-on--5 scrimmages. Time has also passed since he was supposedly "cleared", so a conservative take on medical clearance could be seen as a couple of months. Rose listening to his body, has nothing to do with God telling him when to come back. The question now is Rose's mental block with coming back to the floor. These comments are crapworthy if the practice leaks and more time elapsing after his clearance were actually part of the discussion. Finally, a mantra of the segment is "just take take it", whether Terry says it during the segment or not. |

Dan deserves many of the craps he receives during the segment, I just don't believe his column is truly contradictory. Also, Laurence is the one who normally bites back at craps thrown his direction. |

The column in February and the one 3 weeks later in March are the essence of WYC. He made a blanket statement in February, as quoted above, and then flips his stance based upon super secret information he gets. Consider that none of the information that Bernstein has presented since March has been verified or confirmed by another reporter or team personnel. Consider that when they have had guests who follow the Bulls beat they only hint at what Bernstein claims, and then move on quickly. Consider that the original reporter, Melissa Isaacson, has been conspicuously silent on the matter. Consider the lack of credible sources, and those who have come forward attempting to parrot what B&BH have said and subsequently backing down (Steve Kerr, Greg Doyel). With many craps a time limit may be considered, the columns are an all time WYC crap. |

I disagree with you, Dan has been hammering rose and specifically saying rose needs to ignore the fact that his knee doesnt feel right..... in the feb. column he specifically states Rose should listen to his body.... I dont get how the practice 5 on 5 reports would take away fromt he fact that Dan flipped ont his issue. In Feb. Dan said rose should listen to his body about the injury... now he says he should listen to his body.... |

He's spent the last month saying that Rose shouldn't listen to his own body. It's prototype WYC material. |

So, Dan made up the "practice" story to defend his perceived change of tune? |
