If LeBron does not win tonight, this WILL be considered a failure so far. I don't care what anyone says. |

But how can Indiana defend him. They've been telling us morons that he's undefendable. I'm so confused. |

What exactly is the point of saying the Lakers and Celtics would still have won all those titles if you swapped Lebron for Magic and Leary, respectively? |

Is he trying to inflate Lebron's value by implying he is not surrounded by sufficient championship talent? I don't think the latter is needed, because it's not true. It's amazing how 110% sure B&B were that the Heat were winning the title. Now you have them puffing up Lebron for the chance a let down occurs. Today's show really doesn't jive with the narrative. |

There is no point, Greg I think it started as saying "LeBron isn't the only guy who had great teammates" Bernstein is funny Spends 2 minutes explaining why LeBron doesn't take the last shot (its the right basketball play) then mockinly says "he doesn't wanna take the last shot" Well yeah, that's what YOU just said BeerStain |

Pacers: 0 hall of famers. Heat: 2 sure fire hall of famers, 1 very likely hall of famer. HOW CAN LEBRON OVERCOME THOSE ODDS? |

CH said it best: the narrative is whatever they say it is until they say it isn't, and then it never was. After Game 1, they lauded LeBron for not celebrating his layup because He doesn't have to. He's a grown-ass man. Not two minutes later, they told some story about LeBron hamming it up with Craig Sager's kid and gushed over him like a couple of proud papas: He's just having such a good time, he's like a kid out there! Same here. When LeBron is putting his nuts on Derrick Rose's face, he's an unstoppable basketball robot sent to the future to conquer us mortals with his big black studliness (or is it his big studly blackness?). When the Heat are pushed to the brink by the Pacers, he's a tragic hero, forced to courageously soldier on against insurmountable odds. When the Heat win, it's always because of LeBron. When they lose, it's always because of someone else. Rinse and repeat. |

I hope someone will also remember that the one title the Lebron/Wade/Bosh title did generate has the asterisk of shortened season attached to it (not to mention Rose being eliminated during the playoffs) |

*SIGH* Look, I, I, I, uh *SIGH* again, LeBron James is doing it all by himself and HE'LL PROBABLY WIN THE DAMN CHAMPIONSHIP ANYWAY! He'll probably win it anyway, but, uh, eh, look, again, for the love of God, this is just like Cleveland, one man against an army, uh, eh, eh, how tall is Paul George? 6'8"? I thought he was taller, but eh, uh, uh, again, in point of fact, no other superstar has had to win with such a cast of bums as LeBron is trying to, and uh, uh, he just might do it, he just might do it, but look, in my basketball world this is the highest player at the highest level and it just doesn't get any better than that, uh, eh, eh, LeBron is the best ever but I don't know if he could have replaced Michael, uh, eh, Michael he was a, a, a , he was a thing, but LeBron is better, but he uh, uh, look, for the love of God, he's trying to win with nobody!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Sure, Wade and Bosh haven't been good. But James is the one who decided partnering with them was a wise decision. |

But it can't be that "rings" are the thing we use to define a player until we decide we want to use other criteria. Fuck, Nate Robinson was trying to win all by himself. Does that make him great? |

The interesting thing that I have found about this series when discussing the greatness of James is the fact that Paul George has guarded him one one one this entire series while James is covering Lance Stephenson a great deal of the time. If James is the defensive player that Bernsie says he is why is he guarding the least offensive player in Indiana's starting lineup. I called up about a month ago to discuss the defensive prowess of James and he was overrated by those two. I pointed out how he covered Kendrick Perkins during most of the Finals. They gushed over it and said that he was a floater on defense sort of like a free safety covering everyone else's guy. Larry Bird was also a floater on defense though no one ever thought he was a great defender. They also stated that he was a better defender than Scottie Pippen because of his versatility. They have continuously paraded this notion that he can cover every position from the one to the five. If that is the case why hasn't he guarded Roy Hibberd or David West. aren't they part of this every position crap that not only Bernstein but a lot of NBA types have been spewing for the last couple of years. |

I'm not sure I get what you're saying here. LeBron is without a doubt the best basketball player on the planet, and one of the greatest of all time. He could go the rest of his career without winning another ring and I'd still think he's one of the top 10 players of all time. But for as good as he is, he still needs the people around him to play at a high level if he wants to win a ring this year and that's not happening right now. |

Up until the last week or so, every time someone said they didn't think Miami was gonna win the title, the majority of NBA fans would have a reaction similar to " , you really think Miami won't win it all this year?" They had a 27 game win streak. They won like 66 games overall. They have indisputably the best player alive, and he hand picked this team and probably a good amount of the role players since then. The Heat are a very good team, and nobody should feel an ounce of sympathy towards LeBron. |

SpiralStairs wrote: Oh totally. LeBron can go eat a dick but his guys are apparently playing like ass down the stretch. True. But he's also been playing below the level he's capable of. Still waiting for one of those Game 6 against the Celtics last year performances from him. Like DB and others said, now the Pacers have forced his hand. Either LeBron is gonna give us a historical performance tonight or he's going home, same stakes as Game 6 last year. |
