Quote: Dan Bernstein @dan_bernstein I spent years of my professional life covering an all-time-great NBAer, but he never carried the expectations of James. |

That's not what he said. He said that James is the only player he's seen (since Jordan) that he believes could be the best to ever play. |

Magic was the same guy who said Michael wasn't the greatest until he won X (I think it was 5) championships...so Michael went out and won 6. His opinion on all things Michael has been invalid to me since all the way back to the All Star game freezeout episode with his downlow lover Isiah. Magic was a great basketball player. I assume he has other people managing his successful business ventures. |

Absolute horseshit or he simply misremembers the expecatations on Michael. Not only was Jordan expected to win the championship every year, he was expected to be the best player in the league every single day of the NBA season and he rarely disappointed. |

if the heat lost, which they very nearly did, bermise would say "well its the nba, anything can happen" as he was leaning towards after game 5. just remember guys, dan bernstein is an awful miserable pile of shit. |

I read that last night and had the same reaction. Although, to be fair, Jordan never had Dan Bernstein's expectations of James which seem to include LeBron curing cancer while simultaneously dunking on 6 giants with his nuts in their face en route to his 58th consecutive title at the age of 86. |

Oh, those back breaking expectations of winning when your path has been cleared by the knee injuries of the top two rivals for your championship! |

Doesn't it impugne his own professionalism to discredit the media scrutiny of Michael when he was one of the media covering Michael? |

Think Danny is going to rip into Magic for praising Lebron on the post game show? THAT. IS. NOT. OBJECTIVE. JOURNALISM. |

It is kind of amazing how Dan can simultaneously portray LeBron as an unstoppable force of nature and as an underdog who succeeds against all odds. |
