Hawk's phrasing was slightly off, but plenty of people say it. I mean, even most draft scouting reports say things similarly. He just needed to throw in a word like "Traditionally" or "Many times".

It's not an attack on a group of people. It has to do with the style of play.

It's not much different than how basketball announcers talk about "Europeans".

Yeah, that stuff is starting to wear my ass out too. It's getting close to the line, especially considering how pretty much every power forward is a stretch-four now. There really isn't a "European style" in b-ball anymore.

Hawk meant you can't tell a guy to completely change his approach to hitting and expect it to work. He didn't mean that Latino guys wouldn't listen or understand what you were saying.
