Always amuses me that this is considered the smart fan's show. Mac has never said anything as stupid as like the 20 dumbest things that Bernsie has said. |

That may be true, but you have to account for the sample size disparity between Bernstein's sports thoughts and those of Mac, at least when he's present. |

per Berns, Sox don't care if Sale blows out elbow. He is still cheap even if you assume that. at 24 he can recover and still be good. plus sox have insurance. |

Wayne Randazzo is the NEW WCUB expert. Sounds intelligent. We need a WSOX talking head guy to come on and talk a little. Surprised they don't have Rongey say a few words from 6 A - 6 P. |

Doesn't seem to be the biggest reason to have someone on. They don't seem to have a goto guy for the Sox. Beltin Bill Melton maybe? Kasper for WCUB is the real goto guy I guess. "WSOX" does not have a Sox expert for some reason. Perhaps WSCR is thumbing its nose at JR. Now we have the new NIU athletic director. B&B whoring themselves for the CBS nipple again. |

I'm not old enough to remember Boers' Bulls beat writer days, so perhaps he was breaking stories left and right. But Dan talks about his history as if he followed teams for decades. Perhaps Im forgetting, but was he ever a beat "writer" or did he simply file reports on the Bulls and Bears? What stories did he break? |

I think he truly believes that a certain amount of "shilling for the team" (though he probably wouldn't call it that) allows him to get stuff that others can't. |

Bernsie was nothing more than any of these current guys. He just dressed it up with his vocabulary brilliance and shouted "the score" at the end. He didn't break anything anyone else didn't learn about Bulls or Bears. |

I dunno what goes through KC Johnson's mind, but whatever it is, he sucks. Sam Smith may have been an ass at times, but at least he broke some hot news once in a while. Bernstine asked tough questions, he would irritate people for sure. He was no Zach Zaidman for sure. |

Funny you mention Zaidman and KC Johnson in the same post, because I refer to KC Johnson as "ZZ Johnson" based on his houseman approach to covering the Bulls. I tweeted that to Bernsy. Of course he wasn't going to respond but someone I don't know must've read it because they RT'ed it. |
