I've been listening off an on. Decent show ripping Braun of course. But they were slobbing Adrian Beltre's knob? This guy had all kinds of steroid suspicions back in the day. B&B, you guys should know better.....

yesterday's show was pretty good. Today has been more meh but it's because they're going after an easy target.

I've never heard anyone care so much about shaving cream in baseball. It angers them very much.

Yeah, they're really digging deep today.

Charlie Weis?

I'm guessing we'll get to Lance and Tebow before the day is over.

I can't believe they have the audacity to find it troubling that Jason freaking Collins has not been signed by an NBA team. When did he become Wilt or MJ?

Reasons not to sign the great Jason Collins:

- He's old, he'll turn 35 later this year

- He's not any good, never has been

- He's played a long time, a lot of mileage

But...he's gay.

(I don't believe that's a factor. Any time I can post that clip, I do.)

Sure, he's low on skills, but I don't see why a team in need of size like Miami wouldn't give him a look. Seems to be the ideal, low-minute backup PF/C who rebounds, defends, and clogs the lane on defense. If he's still looking for a job, then I assume he's in great shape.

Of course. But wouldn't you say he's just a guy at this point? The NBA recycles veteran big men annually, yet B&B always bring up his name first when discussing how to fill the last few roster spots. Guess they're just setting it up to call whatever GM a bigot for passing on him. Fits the narrative.

Put it this way. How do you think they would have reacted a year ago if a caller suggested the Bulls sign Jason Collins?

Very true. I guess if you're in the market for just a guy at the C/PF spot, I don't see the harm in giving him a look. There are around 4-5 teams looking at Oden, and that would be the right thing to do for those teams based on Oden's potential. But for the teams who miss out on Oden and are still looking for a big who can give them an unspectacular, serviceable 15-20 minutes, it would seem appropriate to put Collins on your short list. Or I'm just totally unaware of who else is out there on the FA market at Collins' position.

I don't disagree with giving him a shot at all. It's just that B&B seem to have elevated Collins' talent ever since he came out. My point is a year ago, they would have simply said "bad" if you suggested giving Collins a look. Agree or disagree? He's not magically better after coming out.

They would have called the caller retarded, and shipped him to that NBA reeducation camp they talk about. But now that he's come out of the closet, he's a guy you have to take a look at.

I haven't been listening much lately, but yes I'd agree that perhaps a year or two ago they wouldn't suggest taking a look at Collins.

Would you say that the talent of Jason Collins has gone down, or bottomed out?
