I may be getting my wires crossed, but I remember years ago them talking about how getting into a football stance around Doug is a mistake...kinda like aiming a pretend gun at a Vietnam war vet with shell shock. I believe Bernstein jokingly did this in the hallway a long time ago and paid for it. |

It's true. Doug bopped him on the head so hard, it damaged vertebrae. Bernstein actually was 5'8.5" at one time. |

I wouldnt be surprised given how Bernstein typically disparages football players on a regular basis. His position on letting other people's kids contract brain injuries for his viewing pleasure is one of the most unnerving things I've heard a media figure say without incurring some kind of reproach. |

The funniest part of that story was Spiegel mentioning that "3 people tried to stop Doug...but 8 people didn't do anything."
