Dan and Matty are at some new bar in Tinley Park that will likely close in a year, reopen, then close, then become an OTB, before finally settling in as a Greek Family Restaurant that delivers pizzas to the less fortunate in the Beverly neighborhood. Last Friday Fung of the season. I'm sure it will suck like 90% of them do. Listen or Don't. They don't give a shit either way. Oh, and go fuck yourself. |

I've never thought of Matt as being smart about the Bears, sports, arts & entertainment (Dan Dan Dan black and white movies are dumb Dan), or anything. What a passenger. |

Uh, what are you guys talking about? I just fired up the stream to hear some HOT sports talk radio......drinky had a long ride out to the remote. Drove a 10 year old car with failing A/C, got hot, forgot he had no iPass but went through iPass anyway, toll booth # was 83. HILARIOUS! Oh, and this was preceded by a hilarious jag about how, Dan, people need to text, Dan, and if Dan doesn't read the text, Dan, well they need to keep on sending it, Dan. So funny. How could a guy so beloved make such a right turn? Remember when he was trying to do his own show? People here were on board. Was it the mocking of the Sports Minute that caused him to suck? Using sarcastic banter and dismissive tone as his schtick? Maybe it was just Goff leaving, and drinky getting pushed into the third mic role that did it.....that's too bad. Not saying I want Jason "best believe, huh huh, snicker snicker" Goff back, but I'd like for drinky to go back to being a human being and not a virtual strawman for DB. |

It's a certain type of dbag that is THIS infatuated with Twitter, that's for sure. I still don't think Dan realizes that you can go check out his @ mentions for "all" the people saying "all" these dumb things ... which, when I've looked, is either zero or 1 person. At least when you claim "so many" people are emailing/texting, we have to just assume you're building your strawman.....with "the Twitter" we KNOW you're lyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyying. Dan. I remember when Dan would dismiss Twitter.....I've not seen anyone pull a Jason Kidd 360 on anything like he has with the "twittersphere". |

It seems to me that when Drinky Love (sounds like a porn starlet name in a movie I'd never want to watch) was at its height here, it was when he tended to do goofy freeform shifts with Jason that were a breath of fresh air. This would be around 2006-07, when the Score lineup featured an increasingly unhinged North, a staid Mully & Hanley, and a stale Murph. Remember also that there was that whole imbroglio with the North show where Mitch stopped letting Anne Maxfield talk outside of news segments and so they floated Drinky as a morning co-host, but was deemed a "bad fit." So between Last Call and the fact that everyone hated North and his shitty morning show, this sort of gave Matt a bit of sympathy and populist spirit. And on top of all that, he posted here. The thing is, I don't know if he was ever really good at hosting, or if people just liked him because he got jerked around by North, because he's really exposed himself as not having any sort of novel or compelling perspectives on much of anything. I mean, we make fun of Larry for being a buttmonkey, but at least as a broadcaster he has some dedication to his craft. Matt really has nothing to say and doesn't even say nothing well. |

I liked him because at the time he seemed very genuine. I met him on a couple of occasions and it seemed like he was being held back. I do like his basic setup still when he's doing overnights. He needs to be separated from B&B if he's on air. |
