Transition: lots of yelling, Mac's indifference and disdain for the segment bleeds through loud and clear, Bernstein already an ass

Matt Bowen sounds like Doug doing a bit. It's like the station put Doug on and told him to start throwing football vocabulary around and pretending that people care about listening to it on the radio. Leery was really exicted that Matt is going to be on his show breaking down plays in detail. Would be nice to actually see what he is talking about, I dont recall specific plays and formations for days after the game. The whole thing is starting to get on my nerves.

I could have sworn that someone (either Mac or the update guy) said Laurence was up next building a bridge to White Sox baseball but Dan and Terry are there. What go on? I'm a Tad confused...

Sox don't play until 7:10 tonight.

Oh, Lawrence will be on after B&B building a bridge to White Sox baseball. I must have misunderstood.

Room temperature fried chicken is better than hot?

That's the dumbest statement ever made.

Bernsie's obviously never had good fried chicken which probably isn't his fault since there's really isn't any excellent fried chicken in Chicago.

They were talking about now defunct Chicagoland restaurant chains. Sounds like a thread that was
started here within the last few weeks.

Trestman presser. Hopefully it's chock-full of drops.

It would be very nice if Terry could do something besides repeat whatever Dan says two seconds after he says it.

People have been playing drops of Thom apologizing for FOX's technical difficulties all day. Is it necessary to lead off the show with this?

Theyd be the first ones to skewer a caller for doing that.

New Spada copy with Da Coach. On B&B? I thought that wasn't happening...ever. Is it the stream only?

Drinky is starting to rival Leary in his lack of self-awareness. A couple callers called in doing a bit, and Matt called them losers for being unemployed and not being funny.

Um, Matt, your bits are far from funny and how does staying in the same dead end job for 10+ years not make you a loser yourself?

That was a clear shot at Dan McNeil from drinky and Bernstein. They were mocking sports talk show hosts that talk point spreads and totals.

Which they've done during transition, to Mac & Spiegs' faces. Not a big deal, Beardown. Move along.

What a bunch of bags...back to the angry mocking of callers (and basking in it, afterwards), stroking guys like Hub Arkush, and (perhaps) worst of all REPLAYING their own show so we could all share in the glory that is Matt Bowen. Sweet Jesus. "Uh, that's a good point Dan, that was in cover 2, or what I like to call 2 cover, and, uh huh huh, I tell you what, in this league you better have some good safeties back there...." His Buffone impression is getting better, though (worse).

The Score may have the most Bears "experts" of anyone in the world, but damn do the last two suck it hard (the constantly ball washed Bowen followed up by a guy who really shouldn't even be doing college football sideline coverage in DeKalb, Adam Hoge).

Never thought that I'd be yearning for Score Reporter Dan Bernstein at Halas Hall.

Bernstein didn't watch the Alabama/A&M game, really? That's ridiculous. Nothing like a replay of a segment that sucked when it was actually live. That's followed by Hoge, who is ZZ, without the bad red hair.

A guy with a Heisman vote didn't watch a game between two likely Heisman finalists?

Adam Hoge (in his Peter Brady whiney voice): "Ummmmm, I dooo think that Peppers is siiiiick, I'm not convinced that his hamstring something that we can stop worrying about compleeeeetely....and, um, I do want to say that Peppers played better than week 1, I saw this one time where the camera caught him talking to Shea, and Shea didn't make the play....."

Yup, most Bears experts around!

Lawrence Holmes has gone out of his way to complement the great reporting guys like Hoge are doing, new on the beat, and being the eye of the fans, asking the right questions, etc.

It's not as if I would expect him to come on the air and question the coverage of the Bears by the station.

670's job is not to report on the Bears but to promote them, so there's no sense in having expectations. Join CBS Radio for Michael Franti & Spearhead to start the Bears season! It's not just a concert...it's a pep rally!

Sounds like how they described "LOHO"

It's embarrassing, I think. It really sounds like Dan is interviewing his son about the Bears game when they talk to that guy......the ONLY good news is that it makes me "kind of" appreciate Zaidman.

Only thing worse that Ummm Hoge is the incessant ball washing of Arkush and Bowen....it's nauseating.

Oh for the days when "experts" were guys like Doug Collins. Or Chuck Daly (RIP).

I agree. Bernstein pretty much steers Hoge into a "Bears thought" direction. Or he'll just flat out tell Hoge what to think. Hoge always obliges his master.
