He just said "Did you ever hear of a kid bringing a gun to school 30-40 years ago?" Yes,Jimmy. It happened in Elmwood Park. I know because it happened in front of me.

I think Jimmy from Elmwood Park is Pasta's Tyler Durden....

The first time this guy called in, while the Three Columbos were trying to divine whether he was real or a bit, Dan in his barely- contained-chortle-voice blurted "Ugh, where is Elmwood Park?" To which I replied, in my talking-to-my-radio-voice, "Go fuck yourself, Deerfield."

Yeah...The Italians weren't much for hand to hand combat unless they were hitting girls or they had you outnumbered like 5-1.

Girl was murdered. The kid who shot her ran out the side door (right in front of me) and shot himself in the alley. She collapsed in the doorway of my next class.

I heard 3 pops (I thought firecrackers in the bathroom),the hallway in front of me full of students parted like the Red Sea. As he ran passed me,I'm thinking there is the clown who blew off the fireworks. He had a gun in his hand, never saw it.

So unfortunately my statement was correct in both regards.

Maybe it was just an Elmwood Park thing.

They let that call go on for waaaaay too long. You could hear the disdain and elitism in Dan voice when he told him Jimmy's son "would not be a doctor".

Whoa,I missed that but listened to the whole thing. That guy Jimmy is no different then a million other guys who tell their son's to "handle it". It's not going to change because of Dan Bernstein.

I wonder what would have happened back in the day had Mike Murphy had access to firearms? I think all he had access to was leather pants? "Let the Record show...."

There are few Italians left in Elmwood Park, but Jimmy sure sounds like one of them. That village hit the shitter when they arrested the outfit businesses up and down Diversey Ave about 20 years ago. The only redeeming quality is Johnnies Beef.

Dan isn't a doctor, either, he gets on the radio everyday to talk sports, yell at fake callers, read emails he sent to himself and pretend to be a newscaster.

His lack of self awareness strikes again.

Nope, dan isn't a doctor. He's really a lot like Jimmy from Elmwood Park. He just figured out how to get paid for it.
