Public opinion now builds on McCown being a good QB. I predict (gotta say it like I mean it) that today's the day the boys come out firing on all uneducated Bears fans and twitter twits who suggest that the Bears are better off with Josh than Jay.

Callers 24/7
A Second Half
Black Unicorn late in the show

Enjoy. I'll give it an hour today and if they take it in a different direction than I think, I'll be happy to be wrong.

Terry has actually turned on Cutler. But he'll go with whatever the meme of the day is.

We can also look forward to a ZZ segment right after he gets his list of talking points from Halas Hall.

dan bernstein will gloat about some dumb detail that he thinks he predicted.

Bernstein is pretty obviously going with the "Cutler is good but not needed because of Trestman" train of thought. He is just waiting for enough McCown games to do so confidently.

"what kind of an idiot would go to the game yesterday? Football is made to be watched on television, and when you know THE MEGA SUPER UBER ULTRA STORM OF THE CENTURY IS COMING YOU. DON'T. GO. TO. THE. GAME. and shame on the NFL for continuing on with the game so they could hold the remaining crowd captive in an overpriced shopping mall for an extra 2hrs!

oh wait, dan would never criticize that last point because REALLY. SMART. PEOPLE. MONETIZE. EVERYTHING.

but still, i think abbatacola has tipped off that one of the narratives is gonna be that everyone who went to that game was a fucking idiot because YOU. KNEW. IT. WAS. GONNA. RAIN.

Show rundown:

Grab assey transition. Maybe a Larry in Peril story or Bernstein the Meteorologist.

A loud and persistent stammering at Terry's backdoor.

"McClown should be da starter fer da rest of da year. Don't sign Cutman. Sashidge."

Zaidman and Hoge increase Chicago area suicide rates.

McCown interview. Copious amounts of slurping, inane giggling, and self-satisfaction.

Trestman being smart. McCown is his puppet, a husk that exists to demonstrate Trestman's accumen.

"Let me tell youse why McClown should be da starter fer da rest of da season."

Bowen and his verbage. Landmarks, players, dugout.

Poking, stroking, and joking from Terry.

That'd be a turnaround from his "only Cutler could make that throw" narrative, but that probably means it will happen.

That video and of course his pleas for you to go into the basement, or bathtub....with your bike helmet on (and yes it would be a good idea to put bike helmets on your kids too!)

This is one of those stupid things where I stare at the picture and can't stop laughing.

Question: Are there live stock signs throughout Washington and somebody just put the silhouette of the guy getting ready to mount the animal? Or is it private property and somebody just decided to put that sign up as a goof. Somebody explain. I must know this answer for some reason.

So, we are getting the Martellus Book Club. Dan (and Bill on Capitol Hill, Schmutzie, et al.) came when Martellus said he really wanted to read Malcolm Gladwell's latest pseudo-science "book". Serendipity struck! Listeners can read along with Martellus and raise the show IQ to 65 each week by discussing the current literary pablum masquerading as intellectualism.

And it was so cute to hear that Dan creates word games and brain puzzles for his kids on their lunch napkins. I bet he played Sibelius in front of SQNEvents' belly when she was pregnant.

And!...He and Martellus might even do a children's book together!

What do you mean it's a fake? Channel 2 wouldn't super impose that image. It's has to be real.
