Time for people to start trying harder to pronounce a certain receiver's name correctly. Please. #Bears

How many mispronunciations before Danny blows his top? Listen to find out!

Bears lose, Terry called it with an assist from Mike in Milwaukee.

Is Trestman still a REALLY. SMART. FOOTBALL. COACH.?

I can already hear Terry describe an intern with "He will call in a drone strike to handle your package." To which, I will laugh.

When has Dan saved us from angst? He'll probably say it's so terrible that the Bears are bad, because it's not that they're bad, they're just not good, and in the NFL, that's really bad.

Good grief, I sound like I'm doing Klosterman more than Bernstein.

at this point i really only care about my fantasy team since i dont think this team has any real shot at contending for a title.... but still.... kicking that FG on 2nd down was one of the more dumb trestman coaching decisions we've seen.... even more dumb than all of the going for it on 4th down with stupid michael bush runs

the 66 yard attempt had a chance at being historically dumb considering the auburn-alabama game just happened yesterday (and that devin hester made the "return a missed FG" play famous several years ago)... can you imagine if patterson had returned it all the way? The spent the whole game making sure patterson did not return a kick... then you give him a chance to return a kick when you have the wrong personnel on the field to cover kicks

Wait a second. Trestman attempted a field goal on SECOND down?!? Who the fuck does that? I know there are situations that call for attempting on third, but second? And it wasn't with one second left on the clock? What the hell?

This thing about kicking on 3rd down is stupid too. How many times have teams kicked on 3rd down where it's actually been a bad snap where doing that "saved " them? I can't recall that happening. Matter of fact it cost Minnesota and the Bears both doing that exact thing

Here's Dan explaination:
Quote:
Trestman claimed that concern over a penalty, fumble or other “unique” occurrence informed his decision to not work to move the spot closer, and that they were “in range,” no matter the complex analysis from some of us that they could remain “in range,” and be “even closer to the goalpost,” and “increase the chance that the kick is made,” which would make them “far more likely to win the game.”

That's all one sentence btw.

 and Lil Danny comes out trolling . AP is the greatest runner ever. Ummmmm no. The fact that he gashed an historically bad defense yesterday ? Well that seals it for me. Fucking dope.

how many times has a bad snap on a 4th down fg attempt lost the game? dozens of times.

Didnt the Vikings used to take the great Adrian Petersen out of the game on goal line calls?

all you need to do is watch a few replays of peyton and sayers and you wont think that. ap is a beast, one of the 5 best ever, but hes not the best.

I need Scott in Davenport to run some numbers on that . Per season how many times that has happened and cost a team a victory. Less than you think .

Its prudent on 3rd down if its a chip shot. Why not give yourself two tries?

Its not worth it to go from a 27 yarder to a 24 yarder

But on second down from 47 mf'n yards is insane

Peterson is in the discussion with Payton for #2 behind the clear cut number one, Jim Brown

If I needed a yard against a good defense and the choice is between giving it to Payton and AP ill go with Walter (when he was alive anyway) every time

If you miss a field goal on third down, it's not fourth down next. The other teams take possession. Or am I wrong?

They're talking about a botched snap not a missed field goal. if you muff the snap you can kick it again as long as you recover it .

When Gould kicked it it was like 2nd and 6, right? I would try to get that 6 yards on 2nd and 3rd down from that position on the field. Get a first down and make the FG under 40. The way Forte was running, he could have busted another 10 yard run and got that thing inside the 20.

But certainly go for it on 2nd. There is no way Trestman should still be defending his position.

The third down thing is if there's a bad snap the holder spikes it for an incomplete pass. That's assuming it's a bad snap but not so bad that the holder catches and has the awareness to spike it, which isn't a given.

Fumbled snap, etc, you cover the ball up and try again
