very good article. No doubt Bernsie and a lot of us coddled Rose. But that is part of his point. The time for that is over. Rose needs to be held accountable for his behavior. He had the city in his pocket. But he has wasted that. |

But I've listened to bernstein talk about sports and particularly the NBA quite a bit, and his racism is always bubbling right there near the surface. He has never viewed Rose as a human being. Previosuly he was a perfect basketball machine who simply required guidance from his really smart masters. Now he is an ignoramus who has gone off the plantation, so to speak. |

Oh, it's going to be a show today. I really took the article to more or less say Bernstein admitting he was wrong/over protective of Derrick. That he's dumb for letting his inner circle manage him image very, very badly. |

It doesn’t help anything that Rose is not among the brightest bulbs, and that he still lives in an insular camp of cronies that is too often at odds with his team. It was understandable for him to be shielded from Englewood gangs and other unsavory influences enough to get him a fair shot at a pro career, but enough already. He’s 25 years old, in his fifth NBA season, is worth a quarter-billion dollars and has a family of his own, yet his uneducated oaf of an older brother remains the empowered svengali. Reggie Rose is a clown, using the guise of brotherly love to aggrandize himself after a failed career as both player and coach that was marked by bizarre, immature behavior. Bulls officials have become increasingly frustrated by continued communication problems with Rose due to Reggie’s invasive influence, with one source telling WSCR “It’s like talking to a wall.” Looks to me like this is saying exactly what JORR posted. |
