Alright, here's the way I want this handled. The common stupid stuff that drinky say will be put in this "Show Thread". The absolutely unbelievable stupid stuff said by drinky will be put in the "What the hell is wrong with drinky" thread.

When future generations study the history of stupid, they will go to the "What the hell is wrong with drinky" thread. So I'm doing it for them.

Listeners view drinky the same way Bernstein views his callers. As I've often said, Bernstein actually thinks of drinky the same way he does his callers. Drinky isn't smart enough to realize this and Bernstein doesn't have the heart to flat out say it to him. But it's pretty obvious when you hear the way Bernstein handles drinky.

Dumb people don't realize they're dumb. That's why they're dumb. If they realized it, they would cease being dumb.

since you lot love me and go out of your way to read my posts, i should point out that i was the tweeter that abbatacola called out for being an idiot who doesn't listen enough re: his belief that mel tucker shouldn't be fired.

naturally he left out the part where i pointed out the synergy between the bears and the score where nobody on the score will say a word against the regime nowadays because they're all in lockstep.... yet he still felt inclined to "call me out" with 50kw+streams in under 5mins from me slagging off a stupid frustrated tweet, leading into a larger bemoaning that this modern age sucks cuz all of us ignorant people can say things that other people might disagree with.... oh the horror!

so yeah, despite there being a fundamental disconnect where explicitly saying "mel tucker shouldn't be fired" multiple times =/= advocating that the guy keeps the job, i'm clearly wrong by virtue of the fact that i'm not listening enough.... but i thought if we disagreed with anything we're not supposed to listen? now i'm only disagreeing with him because i don't listen enough?

i reckon it's akin to beating a dead horse, but i wanna clearly and concisely be on the record that hearing bob = automatic PTFB for me. i'm not even feigning a moral stand that they're taking advantage of the elderly/disabled/etc, it's just not entertaining a'tall. it's literally like they decided to have a pet meatball to be the epitome of their views of us great unwashed who constantly annoy them by having thoughts and opinions that are readily available in today's social/media world.

it's 2013: if you don't get the b&b paradigm that unless you're one of "the good ones" who is in lockstep with them you're an idiot who shouldn't be allowed to speak, well then i reckon there's no hope for you.

naturally, i'm sure if i made a poll the results would be 90%+ that i'm hopeless. c'est la vie.

Bernstein hates that Rose doesn't speak well. Ridicules him. Calls him dumb. Well, Derrick Rose grew up in abject poverty, was raised by a single mother and had to dodge the Englewood bullets. Literally. Tough to get a good education under those circumstances.

Why doesn't Bernstein crack on his poor-speaking producer. Who is also a part time broadcaster. Where, ya know, it should be a requirement to speak well. Rose is a baller. His job is to put the ball in the basket. Drinky's part time job requires him to speak.

Drinky pretty much can't begin a sentence without an "Ahhhhhhhhhh" or an "Uhhhhhhhhh". He also slurs his words cuz he talks to damn fast.

On cue, Bernstein corrects drinky for saying "Me and Hub will be hosting on Monday".

Bernstein: It's "Hub and I"

Drinky: Ahhhhhhhhhhh Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, ok.

Bernstein: Could also be "Hub and me", but not "Me and Hub".

I gave the show about 10-15 minutes in the car at various points this afternoon. Boring. A production ESPN radio would be proud of.
