Why did he go with the inferior white beans when everyone knows the black beans are better?

Granted it was before Twitter but I remember sports radio going nuts when the Bears introduced Staley the Bear in 2003.
People demanded that the team focus on winning and many cancelled their season tickets.

This is worse than child hunger or walking with a goat for charity.

It's amazing how little these morons know about sports. It's well known that Jordan was drafted in 84'.

Did I seriously hear Terry Boers get Michael Jordan's draft year wrong?

Dan: I think it was 84, wasn't it?
Terry: NO. Michael was drafted before then, because I was covering him.

Michael Jordan drafted #3 by the Bulls on Jun 19, 1984

That is an insane thing to get wrong. When sports. Is. Your. Job.

Just as bad that they don't know the year of the best Bears draft of all time.

Joakim Noah engaged in some populist blather about playing for The Little People in the 300, Haugh wrote about it, and Dan utterly flipped his shit because you shouldn't be celebrated for playing for The Little People and not talk about playing for The Big People, too, because the people with courtside seats pay his salary. "What about the hedge fund manager?", Dan asked, "are you playing for him?" Then he said "what about Jared Melman and whichever dimepiece he brings to every game?" For good measure, he added that you're not playing for the people in the 300 level, you're playing for Jerry Reinsdorf.

This is why JORR can't do Bernstein impressions, because explanations like this sound like it's doing an impression.
