Dan will fall just short of reading, in it's entirety, his article on the Clark The Cub fiasco. He will yell at Cubs fans. Terry will agree. Hub, snicker, is all yours today people - be ready for a gravelly voiced pud to call in and open with a "hey Hub" and toss in a few ridiculous terms before he proclaims he will hang up and listen to his answer. Also: there may or may not be a poker tournament to benefit kids with cancer. They may or may not talk about it. |

Quote: “Unfortunately, there are those that decided to respond in a way that had nothing to do with the mascot,” Communications VP Julian Green told ESPN, sounding like the substitute teacher wagging his finger as a hailstorm of spitballs hits the chalkboard behind him. “I’m disappointed in some of the unfortunate images that went from negative to despicable.” As if one mistake of recognizing and engaging the fleeting, benign backlash wasn’t enough, Green went to far as to announce late last night that the team is standing by their mascot, further legitimizing the reaction as somehow meaningful. Poor Julian Green. The respected, politically-connected pro came to the team to manage the complicated interactions with media and government officials involved in major business projects, and here he is getting all worked up over a guy in a bear costume and some funny pictures. Julian Green is really Bringing A Little Flavor to being hopelessly out of touch. Letting Deadspin commenters own your ass isn't just for white guys in suits anymore! So who has it worse: poor Julian Green or poor hedge fund managers/Melman scions? |

Holy crap, Terry's "Massive Dong (in the land of sky blue waters)" made me literally LOL. It's dumb stuff like that that keeps me coming back. Hilarious. |

He's still going on about Julian Green! Spiegel was like "'Poor Julian Green'? That's silly." Basically, what this all comes down to is that the Cubs are run by smart people, capitalized and non-capitalized alike, but they keep deciding to do things that aren't smart. Sports are performance-based. How long do you get to be a smart person who says dumb stuff before you're just dumb? But I'm laughing so hard at the Smokey the Bear talk and Massive Dong in the Land of Sky Blue Waters. |

Its interesting to hear their reaction to a gaffe/mistake by one their guys like Julian (Come on Julian) as opposed to their reaction when it's an enemy (IDIOT!!!) |

This Billy Cub vs. Clark thing is really escalating. Frankly, I'm with Billy Cub because I love the absurdity of this. Fight the man. The bear. Whatever. |

Yesterday hub said the Lions almost beat the Saints in the playoffs two years ago. The Lions lost 45-28. |

just listened to the 5 o clock hour podcast and that dan durkin guy was actually really good, had good info on the bears cap situation... made Hub's segment before seem like amateur hour. |

Yeah, Durkin is pretty talented. Too good for 670thescore.com, if you ask me. Adam Hog might be too, actually. |

Yeah, they're really riding the place way too hard lately. It's basically Deadspin Radio. Wasn't always like this. |
