I think the better theory is Dan is offended when uneducated people are racist. Dan thinks he's entitled to hate blacks and Christians because he's highly educated and smart. Where Mike North and his type being racist is not acceptable to him. Only intelligent people should be allowed to hate people based on race and religion. Cuz intelligent people hate them for the right and justified reasons in Dan's mind.

I don't think Dan hates blacks but he is one of those covert white racists. If they are athletes he is either paternalistic towards them or he values them for their potential future athlete breeding stock. It's very antebellum South. It's also typical of fake liberals like Dan to denounce what they perceive as racist just so they don't appear to be prejudiced. Denounce something enough to cleanse yourself of your own shame.
