In the 4 O'clock hour, Bernstein said that everybody on twitter that called Sherman a "Thug" exposed themselves as a racist. That "thug" is basically the code word for "N****r" Bernstein was silent when Hub said it, but now Bernstein has to think that Hub is a racist.

Hub's response, when questioned by Bernstein was a meatball response that Dan would typically yell at. Didn't yell at Hub like he would a caller, though. |

Like I've always said, "Wang-Whipper" is Bernstein's code word for "N****r". He just doesn't like to be like the rest of white America and use "Thug". |

Hub also initially wanted to use the word "criminals" too and doubled down on this by saying he was referring exclusively to their off the field conduct and not their style of play when confronted on this. And poor Dan has had to revert to the "well I liked it but different strokes for different folks" position. Also Hub is seriously dumb if he thinks that apology was legit or indicative of contrition. He refers to Crabtree as "an individual" for heaven's sake. |

This conversation is hilarious. Now Bernstein treats "sideline demeanor" as significant and worth paying attention to when he repeatedly assured listeners over the Lovie years that both passion and stoicism were utterly irrelevant. |

This is not the first time I've heard Dan with this "Thug" proclamation. He's actually not the first to say it. I've heard it before from others. In fact, Bernstein probably took it from somebody else and uses it to hide the fact that he's racist. I forget of whom he was speaking about, but Dan once called a black athlete a "thug". Maybe within the last few years. It stuck out to me cuz I knew that the "Thug" thing was Dan's race-baiting stance. |

I imagine Dan did I can't recall with certainty but at the time of Ray Lewis, Rae Carruth or some others he likely uttered Thug. |

Hub is a sly little passive-aggressive, weasel bitch as we all know. Do you think it's possible Hub heard Bernstein's take on people who call black people thugs? Then went on the air with B&B with the intention of using that word to describe the black players on the Seahawks to see what Bernstein would say to him. Then play dumb when Bernstein explained to him that "Thug = N-Word" in the minds of good white people like himself. I think it's possible. |

Are some people actually arguing that "thug" cannot be used as a code word for the n bomb? Not agreeing that it always is, but it can be. I cringed a bit when I heard Hub say it (though I missed Bernstein's apparent diatribe.) I always find it funny when people get upset when called out on it. For the record, I never heard the President of the US be described as a "thug" until our current one was elected. Always found that a bit odd.. |

I don't think "thug" is even the proper way to describe Sherman and his antics anyhow. More like "Big Baby Who Needs A Spanking". I will admit, though, I tend to almost universally oppose anything Dan Bernstein says almost instinctively. I just don't like him, what he stands for, and the way he routinely tries to mold others' thoughts to fit his narrative. I am quite sure that Dan and I are on the same political spectrum (yes, people from Rockford are not all uneducated hicks). Dan's major problem is his absolutism, he would have been better off suggesting that some attacks against Sherman are racially motivated and isn't that sad it is still occurring today blah blah blah. Anyways, I will never forget being asked repeatedly by an old woman from popular grove why a family member of mine supported the "thug president and his gang." Of course "thug" isn't the way to describe Sherman. Maybe "asshole", "narcissist", "awesome", "WWE wannabe" etc etc |
