The narrative doesn't care from where they hail. They go to the University of Illinois and reside in Cham-Bana. That, by definition, makes them racist.

The racist and sexist tweets in question were a very, very small minority of the tweets in the #fuckphyllis hashtag, and an even smaller minority of the student body. This article attempts to paint a with a broad stroke a picture of the student body, and the Twitter users in this hashtag in an broad, improperly colored stroke. The outrage is was highly disproportional to the distasteful comments made, and are largely the result of Suey Park's baiting of her Twitter followers.

Wow, no one used any of their 140 characters to give a shout out to chief illiniwek in the same tweet in which they called the chancellor names. This dude's on it. Was he expecting to find, "#FuckPhyllis #ChiefIlliniwek4Eva #HitlerWasRight"

It's taken over from Facebook as a way to identify people to avoid.
