Yes,that is a hell of a lot of money but the guy is running a billion dollar empire. The NFL is still on top of it's game despite the concussion issues. |

I'm sure players aren't happy about that but the owners are happy with his services. |

It sounds like someone screwed up the comp plan for the commish. Between ruining the game of football & wanting to expand overseas, I'm not a fan of Roger. I'm gonna say that the NFL could pay someone $5 Mil to do as good a job as Roger has done. |

I'd be ok if the entire NFL went away. No millions for anyone. Theres plenty of other shows on TV to take its place. |

Is there any doubt owners could find an equally if not more competent person to take that job at a quarter of the price? |

THe xfl sorta , minus the gay wwe antics and real names on jerseys..all players sign waivers and play old school NFL . |

The NFL is the governing body for all 32 franchise teams. The money the NFL makes through various contracts, merchandising, ticket sales, etc is divided between the players according to their CBA and then the individual 32 teams. Those 32 teams them pay taxes on whatever revenue they receive. If the NFL as a whole were to pay taxes and then each of the 32 teams then had to pay taxes again, that would be double taxation. Non-profit does not mean charitable. Nor does it mean profit isn't made. Non-profit means any profit made is invested right back into the company as opposed to the pocket of the owner or share holders. |

Once as far as I know, and it was a lame ass attempt ..its different now, the game has changed a lot...it could be barely recognizable in 4-5 years. |

You mentioned the XFL, so I assume that's what you're talking about. There was also the USFL which was a much more serious threat. They actually took some talent from the NFL |

WFL,too. The Chicago Wind was coached by Abe Gibron. I don't have a problem with people with tremendous responsibility making a lot of money. The fact that school teachers, firemen & policemen on a much smaller scale of course, are not part of that is what I have a problem with. |
