Ice Dancing is kind of like synchronized swimming on ice. I guess it's a valid point about judges determining the winner, but judges do determine the winners in boxing. I haven't heard Dan refer to boxing as not a sport based on that criteria.

When the entire outcome of the event is only based on the judgement of others, primarily based on style points. ughhh...

No, Boxing does not have style points.

Boxer A lands 40 punches to the body. Thats good.

Boxer B land 15 powerful uppercuts.

Good time to allow judge some ability to make the round 10-9 to the 15 more damaging punches. that is the extent of my judging allowed in sports.

I have not watched this year but in the Kerrigan, Harding and oh my lord Katarina Witt I would be glued. Geez she had an ass and legs. Anyway, like gymnasts when I saw in recent years past I felt dirty as they seemed like little girls or 10 year old Chinese boys.

There are referees and officials in all sports that affect the outcome of their sports with their decisions. I guess technically they don't judge the games, but those NBA officials can pretty much give game 5 to the Knicks by making a bad call.

Those are figure skaters not ice dancers. I had to have my wife explain the difference between pairs and ice dancing. I guess it pretty much comes down to the jumping. Still, Witt was the bomb. Huge jugs! Full bush! Did you check her out in Playboy?
