Stuck at work. Nothing to do on a Friday afternoon. no B&B. can't even listen to the white sox stream. mlb.com won't stream here at work. listened to The National and now I want to jump in the river. |

In Bernstinian logic, this is then MLB's fault, which could lead you to a clinical situation! Which could lead to you doing something really bad, so MLB better really watch this situation. Yes, this compares with a COMCAST commercial. |

"Mr. November" is about as uplifting as the National gets. Listen to that one. Never was a huge National fan, though. Just dumbed-down Tindersticks, if you ask me. |

Deford would argue all day about that with you. he thinks it was and still is the best sports publication ever. They just didnt have any distribution channels. Ironically, he might have been correct as if they could have held on would have been absorbed into FOX, ESPN or someone as they did have Quality. Very few who sports media vehicles have just folded over the past 10-20 years, someone is usually willing to basically pay for the audience at the very least. Well, almost always...

When I was yoot and stuffed the ads into Sunday papers for $3 a stack at from midnight to 5AM I'd always take the weeks worth of Nationals home |

I used to rush home from junior high to read my day-old National that would come in the mail. I would then bring it to school the next day after that. I would read that thing cover-to-cover. Every single "skinny" that was in the standings.
