And just because Noah gets someone's vote for All NBA First Team doesn't imply said voter would rather have Noah on his team. Dan couldn't grasp that.

Are they saying that? Howard seems like a stud Dan would like to breed. I could see them constructing some fake argument that's based on a guy on twitter who said "Noah is better than Howard" and running with that for the whole show.

The entire back page of the Tribune was devoted to comparing Noah to Howard and who was better.

Because saying player A is having a better season than player B doesn't necessarily imply player A is the one you would rather have now and/or going forward. Just having a better season.

Yes, that could be theoretically possible.

let me state for the record that all things being equal, I'd take Howard over Noah.

So people who have pets and pay a vet to help keep them healthy are idiots?

"I had a dog and then it died. Because of bad White Sox baseball, teehee. So what?"

Ever get the vibe that the Bernstein household is one where no one is ever allowed to get anything dirty? That might explain the animal animus.

I've lived in pet and non-pet households. I'm not sure where I stand on this. I will pay a "reasonable" amount to keep my pets healthy. I guess what is "reasonable" depends on how much cash you have.

My neighbor just spent $1500 on surgery for their cat.

But, their cats cost $600 each.

So, I kind of felt like if you're in that deep to begin with, if you've already made that decision, I guess you keep going.

They were cackling over some article that said Americans spent 57 billion on their pets last year. Insinuating that pet owners are morons for spending so much on them and all thats doing is making their veterinarians wealthy.   So go adopt dog or cat and when they get sick or hurt, let them die and go get another one I guess is the way it should go.

If I were Dan's family, I wouldn't spend five dollars to keep him alive. I would personally pull the plug. :D

You know what's a waste of money? Equipment and ice time for a kid who's going to grow up to make Darren Pang look like Ben Bishop. Of course, that's money you can waste when your job is to jerk off rich people on the radio.

This shows Dan's ignorance on the subject. We've had 2 different vets and both times we had to make a decision on surgery or having the dog put to sleep, the vets told us in so many words to not have the surgery done. They wouldn't assure us that either surgery would improve their quality of life.

I'm sure there are vets out there cashing in and people spending a lot of money keeping their pets alive but this reeks of a Twitter strawman scenario.

Dan said spend that money on your kids. Terry mad a good point that a lot of pet people don't have kids. Anyway a ton of the $57B is just food and minor toys and leashes. For chrissakes there are 340M Americans I pretty fair percentage have a pet or two. Is $57B annually a lot?

I guess this means Dan's wife's business doesn't do pet friendly events...at the moment.

Wow... I can't believe Dan said that with Terry in the room, assuming Terry went in today. The old bastard may be useless, but to put him down if he gets sick only because of money? The guy has feelings (some scientists say they don't, but I disagree).

I do kind of understand Dan's perspective, though, because the next one will almost certainly speak better than this one.
