Wasn't it always that Sir Larry would sit in for Terry when he was on vacation. Instead this week you get two days of Barry, a Drinky show, Rosenbloom and Solo Dan on Friday because of a shortened show. Did Mitch finally wise up and realize Larry blows? Or does a shorter bench due to The Game departures as well as Randazzo being in Arizona to help with the Cubs mean they need Larry to do the evening show?

When he did that Mac gig the ratings shone the light to Mitch?

I don't know. But you can totally tell Bernstein wants Rozner and Rosie as subs. When Boers goes away for a week, Bernstein feels he has to give drinky 1 day cuz Bernstein knows drinky will be all bitchy if he doesn't. So it's Bernstein throwing drinky a bone to make life easier on Bernstein.

Usually the Larry thing is forced on him cuz Larry doesn't have anything to do during Sox season. Those half hour shows don't justify what they're paying him.

Ever think they used up Learys sit in days when Mac left? Thus they would need to pay Leary more money and thats isnt happening.

Normally, I would say Mac even got paid while he was out, as going to rehab is like safe harbour these days, but it was his second trip and after the things he told the audience he said to Mitch, maybe not this time.

regardless, that Mac absence with an extended Leary stay was the best thing to happen to the Score in years as it might have finally shown Mitch and ZimZim how bad leary really is when the #'s came back.

Could be too many days or it could be that he will be in when Boers is back and Bernstine takes a day or two off. Leary and Uncle Teary?

Maybe Teary will retire suddenly and Leary will discuss on the air how he hated "Lo'wence Homes"

Wonder if Terry does it in his blackface?

If Terry can get Mitch and Zimmerman to let him broadcast from his house and that many vacation days, that's on them. Power to Terry and his agent.

Agree 100%. It's great work if you can get it.

Bernstein just shows up and talks about some shit he read on the bus on the way in. Terry laughs and makes a crack and they leave it up to Matty to make the whole show.

The short answer to why Chicago needs not just a 3rd sports talker, but a sports talker enema (including management).

I heard Big Lar' around a week ago. Goff must just have been on the line because Larry stated if he was in Atlanta with Goff they'd both be running the town. And then Larry added he'd burn Atlanta down like Sherman did. Isn't this guy like forty years old now? I suppose, in L. Wilberforce Holmes IV's mind, he already owns Chicago and has crewed it up with his "tree." Time to expand the Holmes brand and empire.

The seeming lack of more voices would be less of an issue if Bernstein had a partner who did slightly more than roll out of bed and cash checks.

He'll probably then concoct a story about threatening Terry. Just like he did about Murph after he was gone.

I know its a popular thing to say, but I dont think leary has ever played that card. He might know its there, but I dont he ever played it as some here say he has. I think that would alienate him really quickly with the younger guys there and they are the only ones who socialize with him.
