During the holidays there's been Red Velvet Easter Eggs & Valentines Hearts from Russel Stover's. Frango has a Red Velvet candy bar. Red Velvet was the hip flavor of cupcake for hipsters two years ago. Red Velvet is currently the hip flavor of cupcake for Soccer moms. So, yeah, it's trendy.

It is a light chocolate cake with a load of food dye in it. Cream cheese frosting. Not my fav but I will eat a good version of it.
