It's another day for people to hate-listen to B&B - hooray for life!

It's not your show, and you're not on that show, so they'll say what they want, ya jerkwagon.

Transition seems lively with the cookie and endcap talk.

Enjoy, or don't. Listen, or don't. Mitch gets paid either way and we don't.

These chain stores should develop an app so you can type in what you want and it tell you what aisle and shelf it's on. Tie it into the inventory system and it's a logistical wet dream.

Gotta be careful there because if you watched it too much, you're also racist.

great for people like me who when they enter a store they do so with the purpose of buying a specific item.... but that type of app would lead to people not wandering around in stores making other impulse buys... right?

He may not have been allowed to watch Good Times.

Barring that, yes, I would wager that he is lying as he usually does about things like this.

It was almost impossible to not have watched it either on the network or later in life on WGN replays

He was just adamant that he had never watched it. Acted as if he did not know anything about it.

I don't think I've seen a full episode of Good Times, All In The Family or The Jeffersons.

The bizarre thing is that there are a lot of classic television shows I've watched a lot. I must have been only watching certain channels though. I hadn't even watched a Three Stooges episode until my wife made me.

A friend of mine from college, who grew up in Lake Geneva, WI, was not allowed as a kid to watch Bewitched (because it involved witchcraft) or The Jeffersons (because it involved interracial marriage). Needless to say, his parents were less than thrilled when he told them he's gay.

Shouldn't have let him watch "I Dream Of Jeanie" I guess.

What's Happening FTW. The episode where Duane was winning money by betting on the NFL was great. If you recall how he finally lost, it was classic Duane.

Hell it's what I watch nearly every Saturday morning now .... it's on for hours on end on some blackish non-BET network .... then they run some Sanford & Son after it .... it's a real sterling lineup.

Wasn't Good Times set in Cabrini–Green? That might explain why he hasn't seen it. His parents wouldn't let him out of fear that Danny may have wondered down there to get some street cred at an early age.

I might know that guy. Did he work at the movie theater?

If I was interested in a 15-page thread I'd actually say 'this explains quite a bit' .....

I don't know if you're being serious or not. He worked at The Abbey (at least it was called that in the late 80s) as a concierge after freshman year of college. He might have worked at movie theater in H.S. I could ask. He's not flaming and dated girls in H.S., so at that time I'm not sure if anyone would have suspected.

His long-time HS girlfriend who he was dating when he came out was less than pleased to get the news. She was kind of an oblivious Cornell twit. They both could have been told to "Check their Privilege" and it would have been relevant.
