Not surprisingly, Dan is deliberately misrepresenting the most relevant criticisms of LeBron. People aren't saying that he didn't want to play; rather they are questioning his competitive spirit. To wit: Karl Malone and Patrick Ewing wanted to play against the Bulls, but they simply didn't possess Jordan's indomitable will to win. Karl Malone said as much during the 1998 Finals. |

Did Jordan miss the end of Game 4 in the 1997 Finals due to cramps? Or did he simply sit for part of the game? Would he have ever sat during the end of a Finals game where the outcome was in doubt? I have no problem with LeBron sitting for part of the game. His failure to re-enter strikes me as curious--to say the least. |
