Anybody catch THE GAME'S commercial. They had one during the Cubs game the other day.

They're trying to brand themselves as the "anti Bernstein" station. I haven't listened since the first week. Spmack said he has noticed this with the hosts. He said they're all stupid like Kaplan. He said they all have Meatball thoughts and they embrace stupid callers and their stupid thoughts.

Anyway, the commercial said something like "WE WON'T TALK DOWN TO YOU" and some other crap.

I'd say given the ratings, that's a valid spot.

Granted they're probably not the station to switch to.

They were pretty much saying that they were a safe haven for dumb ass crackers as they are dumb ass crackers themselves.

They were actively recruiting Bernstein's disenfranchised and oppressed listeners. Quite the strategy on their part.

first they need some hosts because most of what they have there is not even close to decent.

A properly focused Laurence Holmes would be a better host than anyone they have. Think about that.

Thoughts like that keep the psychotropic pharmacological business booming.

Larry is too busy with Webio.

I haven't heard the anti-Bernstein spot but about time somebody realized that's the route to go.
I can't figure out why ESPN never had the balls or brains to try and take on the Score King by name.
Hire some Second City dope to mock him daily as Norths sidekick did Bruce Levine.

even better would be for one of these low paid producers to go in that direction when they get their chance at airtime

Connor McKnight still sounds like a Bernstein clone. He echoes most of Li'l Danny's opinions without going full Bernstein. Tonight he said he thought he was going to be tired of the "LeBron James Opted Out" talk before it even started, but he's not. He's EXCITED to talk about how these new developments with LeBron are going shape the future of the NBA.

Last night I tuned in for a while on the drive home and he was quoting The Three Amigos and talking about how much he loves that movie -- which happens to be a Bernstein favorite.

Somebody asked in some other thread why Goff hasn't been called by THE GAME since a lot of lower tier Score guys ran over there like rats running from a flood.

This commercial answers that. They aren't calling Bernstein's soldiers if they're billing themselves as the "Anti Bernstein" station. So no drinky or Goff at THE GAME.
