For all of the people here complaining about Bernstein and other hosts on the show, you have the power to make a difference by not listening. I realize that it's hard to break a habit, when you all are used to being entertained and have been entertained for many years by B&B. But there's no doubt that the show has become unbearable now because, as someone on another thread put it, the Social Justice Warrior's takeover of not just the program, but the whole station, and Terry's descension into irrelevancy and mute-hood. There was a time when I was a regular listener, but nowadays I just tune in only when Terry is there and usually it's not for more than a couple of hours because of the nausea that comes on from listening to Dan's liberal sermons and blasphemies. Though sometimes he does put a foot in his hypocrite mouth by calling God the "invisible man in the sky" in reference to any biblical condemnation of homosexuals, while in the same breath telling Tony Dungy to go to hell for being a bad person, which implies there being a morally judging supreme being. If regime change is the goal, particularly with respect to Dan, then just stop listening for a while and let the ratings fall. Strength is in numbers, and it seems all the regular listeners are on this board where they could stick together and follow through. Otherwise, all of the whining is useless, although I admit that reading some of the comments here has become more entertaining than actually listening to the program. Hit Dan where it will hurt him most by taking away his audience and bully pulpit. If you have to listen, then let it be just Monday and Fridays before and after Bears games. But mid week there is no reason to listen whatsoever. Don't say to listen to Hub Tues. and Wed. when he gives Chiefs Superbowl predictions. He's a contrary indicator for any picks.

Someone mentioned Steve Dahl on another thread, and I thought that was interesting. I have not heard him for a while since he's gone to the Podcast format, but used to think he was great, probably the most entertaining and talented of all the broadcasters in Chicago, with Boers a close second in his prime. But like Boers, he too is getting up there in age. I did tune in some years ago and listened to him talk about Drew Peterson and his wife ad nauseum, and it was a bit flat. Maybe he was having an off day. I always wondered why the Score didn't hire a rock star like that. I guess it's because he's probably about as anti-Bernstein as one could be for all of Dahl's political incorrectness. But that's what makes him great. Yesterday I watched a clip of him and Meathead on a Tom Synder show that aired after Disco Demolition. Man was he funny back then, and probably still is.

Dahl turned awful over 15 years ago. He didn't get the nickname Dead Air Dahl for nothing. He wasn't interesting without Gary. Together they were great. I find Buzz as a good sidekick for Johnny but him and Dead Air were awful together too. He was at his prime when Sandburg was at his. Now he is beyond the grave much farther than Boers.

I get that you are doing a bit but harping on Dan for his liberal bias isn't really the issue. His social crusades are much more of an issue.

So the purpose of this mult is to make Score personalities, up to and including Dan Bernstein, compelling and insightful by comparison; got it.

This isnt a Boycott of B&B it is a reaction to the show going downhill for quite sometime.

"ITS JUST SPORTS" it's not an exercise in deep thought on each and every topic Danny B thinks needs a complete breakdown of every word muttered from a sports executive or coach.

Everything isn't about the AntiTrust or some master plan when people mutter insignificant words. We understand what the cubs are doing, I don't need it explained any further....

Maybe dan can impress us more with his breakdowns of NBA offenses, because you know his was the PR guy for the Rockford lightning for a year, thus his understanding of basketball is beyond that of a normal human. I don't think someone needs to have been a pro athlete to understand a sport and act as an expert on it, but it does help to have played at some level before you start dropping your "Pick and pop" comments like you are an NBA lifer.

Your 'Signature" bit is taken from another show and of course Bernstein turned that into a college entrance essay competition with participation limited to those who suck his dick on a daily basis, know what I mean Maddux Boy (AKA White Physisicts) and of course the "its the listeners fault' that the bit is dying on the vine and is on a week to week basis.

Anyone with an edcuation below Danny is mocked. Those who don't speak well when calling dan are meatballs. Of course, some people actually like hearing Dan mock the dumb guys. Hmmmm...isn't that like bullying? Which is the basis of the show.

The only thing entertaining is the Terry making off the wall comments because his actual contacts and 'Guys" are dead and gone, so when the show reverts to "I talked to my guy at the ______" thats when it hits rock bottom and comments are then just being made up.

I just signed up for the Dahl podcast again. I figure I'll listen for a few months until I get sick of it. $9.99/month is really not that expensive. like 3 lattes. big deal.

The problem is Dan, yes we know, for a number of different reasons. He wasn't always the prick that he is now, which is to say, he wasn't so over the top before on liberalism and everything else he talks about when the show was more balanced with Boers carrying his weight. Bernstein has become empowered at the expense of Boers, which is an unwelcomed development since Terry is the guy everyone loves. But nothing lasts forever. The only way I see to engender some change is through a boycott in order to hit a nerve with management, where they're forced to reign Bernstein in. If that makes Bernstein quit, so what? No one is going to be crying here. I'm sure you would all be in favor of a Boers McNeil show or a Boers with someone else of McNeil's caliber. Bernstein isn't irreplaceable, rather he is the weakest link. Anyone that puts off their listeners as much as Bernstein is and should be expendable.

If you want to see change, then it's time to turn them off for a while. Otherwise, you will be getting more of the same or worse with a Bernstein dominated show and station. This whole argument might be moot anyway, if Boers retires soon, which he may do. I don't see him going on past this football season and maybe basketball season, after which there will be no point.

So either enjoy what's still left of Terry's genius and suffer the Dan bad or let it go completely and find something else.

I will be doing the same and thank you for bringing him up. I had forgotten about Dahl, but thank goodness he's still doing it.

all I really want is to listen to somebody mildly entertaining, but I have two caveats. they have to be Chicagoans (yes, Dahl counts) and have to be older than me. I don't want somebody younger than me telling me anything, really. so my options are rapidly dwindling.
