Is this the day the boys finally own up to the complete futility of Theo's only major free agent signing? WYC had better be good. Or Else. Guess what, it's going to be bad. I'll probably call in. Post or make SomeGuy happy. One or the other. |

Bernsie has declared The Score's slow transition away from meatball thoughts is almost complete with the addition of Mannelly, Durkin, and Pompei. |

F'ing A, Dan you were always a meatball fan. The day you actually have a f'ing original thought, let alone intelligent thought, it would be the first. What a f'ing phony ass. |

That's the reason for the ratings change (not the complete overhaul of the rating system that coincided with the jump ) |

Judging by the ratings, Larry, there are not enough new listeners. Hell, there are not that many listeners. |

today's WYC will be a good test of whether some of the OG's are still listening to this show. They've done every bit of pub they can do for the segment today, we'll see who shows up. Not like you can't get through easily and be put on the air almost immediately if you are a even somewhat known quantity. |

also, a lesser acknowledged thought...many times the best WYC material came from other score hosts. Now-No Mike North, No Jessie Rogers, No Mike Murphy, No Fred Huebner, and lately no Mac. Might be part of the issue. |

MLB "just threw a wrench into the Cubs's international plans" Oy, please don't let this be their wriggle room when/if things don't work out. |

now Dan won't give his opinion (which he is paid to do, he likes to remind people) because it doesn't matter what he thinks. Well Dan, I know that. But would you sign Lester or not? |

They are moving towards having an International draft. It's been discussed for years. There will be more changes coming like stiffer penalties for going over the spending limits. Brace yourself for more crying. |

Its odd because hasnt their larger stance been that Theo will rebuild the minors and it may or may not work? In that case, they can claim victory. The system is highly ranked. That's all you can do....according to them right? Plus the international excuse is already built in with the draft stuff |

Now it's just going to be harder to "sustain". Whatever. |

Based on Bernstein's description, the Cubs were abusing the system to a pretty huge degree. They were taking on massive fines for operating outside of the rules and then planning on doing it again as soon as those penalties were done. Why would anyone be shocked that this got shut down completely? |

Baseball doesn't like it when you find their loopholes. See also: the Marlins getting peckerslapped into spending money on players and not just pocketing the revenue sharing. |

Yesterday, Dan actually muttered to himself that "everyone" should probably worry a bit as they are probably making fun of a guy (Ditka) that probably has some neurological issues going on. Would be nice to hear this today at 5pm. |
